I have volunteered for Hospice. I completed all necessary training to work one on one with clients and work with all obstacles that may arise. I have always had a deep desire to work with people in need. Even at age 13-17 I cared for my elderly Grandmother who had Alzheimers as well as other ailments associated with old age. I voluntereed at a daycare. Working with children. Some of which were abused and/or mentally challenged. I have personally helped friends and family first hand to cope and come to terms with rape, abuse, suicide and death. I was also, in the process of starting a non profit for abused and neglected citizens in our community. So I am very good at finding resources that can help with all situations that an individual could utilize to better their lives, to better themselves or to help them get out of harmful situations. I am also, very good at diffusing situations and calming people down. I have a nack for getting people who are angry or frustrated to relax and talk about the situation rather than having it escalate. I do well with assisting people with troubling situations. It is something I would like to pursue further. I truly believe I would excel in this type of work.
