Although I dont have much teaching experience, the few opportunities I've had with teaching have been really positive. For two years in high school, I volunteered as a side walker for an organization called River Valley Riders. This organizatioon offers physical therapy through horseback riding for children with physical and mental disorders. While volunteering, I made sure that the children were safe and securly on their horses and that they were mentally stimulated and engaged. We would give riders puzzles and participated in games while they were on horseback. I really valued my time with this organization because it gave me a feel for teaching and a greater sense of purpose. Aside from River Valley Riders, I've helped fellow students with art projects through constructive cristism and offering suggestions. I've also helped explain concepts to classmates which isn't official tutoring but I found it to be rewarding.
