Abstract:

A wiring block mountable to a support surface for terminating communication wires includes a base having a mounting portion and first and second support members extending outwardly from the mounting portion. The first and second supports are spaced apart to form a cabling channel therebetween for receiving communication wires. A termination strip having a row of spaced apart teeth defining a plurality of slots for receiving communication wires is mounted to the base. The termination strip has a first end that is removably attached to the first support member and a second end that is hingedly connected to the second support member.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to a spring clip connector assembly comprising a base product with an opening and a spring clip connector. The spring clip connector includes a housing having a front wall with an opening for receiving a wire therethrough, a movable tab located in the housing, and a conductor secured to the housing and having a contact positioned to engage a wire inserted through the opening in the front wall, and a spring between the housing and the tab. One of the base product and the housing includes a resilient member and the other of the base product and the housing includes a mounting surface, the resilient member movable between a first position that permits insertion of the housing through the opening of the faceplate and a second position that engages the at least one mounting surface and blocks removal of the housing from the opening of the faceplate. Further, the tab is movable between a closed position such that a portion of the tab is adjacent to the contact to secure a wire inserted through the opening in the front wall against the contact and an open position such that the portion is farther away from the contact than in the closed position to release the wire, the spring biasing the tab toward the closed position.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to a spring clip connector assembly comprising a base product with an opening and a spring clip connector. The spring clip connector includes a housing having a front wall with an opening for receiving a wire therethrough, a movable tab located in the housing, and a conductor secured to the housing and having a contact positioned to engage a wire inserted through the opening in the front wall, and a spring between the housing and the tab. One of the base product and the housing includes a resilient member and the other of the base product and the housing includes a mounting surface, the resilient member movable between a first position that permits insertion of the housing through the opening of the faceplate and a second position that engages the at least one mounting surface and blocks removal of the housing from the opening of the faceplate. Electrical connectors are generally discussed herein with particular discussions on spring clip connectors for connecting wires to electronically link a first audio component to a second audio component. The connectors provided herein incorporate at least one push button, at least one cam, at least one conductor, and at least one biasing member inside a housing. The at least one push button is configured to translate when depressed to then rotate the at least one cam to open a receptacle for receiving a wire. The wire is then placed in contact with the at least one conductor when the at least one push button is released.

Abstract:

A bracket supports the weight of stand-off standard-width rack-mount equipment and can collapse flat for storage or shipping. An embodiment comprises a back member along the bracket's mounting plane and two stand-off arms each having portions extending along the plane and extending normal to it. Each arm moveably attaches to permit positioning the arm when the bracket is not installed so as to decrease the arm's normal dimension, and each arm comprises at least one anchor permitting attachment to a supporting structure. Another embodiment concerns a method of installing a bracket with a back member and moveably connected stand-off arms, comprising moving each arm in a manner that increases the arm's extension in a direction normal to the mounting plane, and attaching to at least one supporting structure each stand-off arm at at least one anchor.
