Miniature Schnauzer Sissy walked two miles to reach the lobby of the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, in Iowa. She was caught on surveillance cameras when she walked through the hospital entrance, and continued to sniff her way round the hospital looking for owner Nancy Franck.

Dog shows up at hospital where owner is battling cancer
The dog, Sissy, belongs to Nancy Franck, 64, who has been at Mercy Medical Center for about two weeks following surgery. Her husband, Dale Franck, 66, had been taking care of Sissy and her brother, Barney, also a miniature schnauzer, back home.
s surprised to see her. She was all wiggling and excited and I said, Sarah, did you smuggle the dog in? and she said, No, she brought herself in here, mom. So yea, it was surprising that she could get away from home and walk all the way down there, said Nancy Franck, Sissys owner.
According to KCRG, Nancy Franck lives with her husband and two miniature schnauzers, Sissy and Barney, in southeast Cedar Rapids. Franck, however, recently had surgery, and she has been staying at a hospital about 20 blocks away from home.
"Sarah woke me up Saturday morning and she said, 'Mom, I've got something to show you,'" Nancy Franck said. "And she came over with this wiggly, squirmy dog and Sissy was all excited and making these happy, whiney noises, just all excited to see me. I said, 'Did you sneak this dog in here?' She said

On Sunday, the dog escaped from her yard in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, walked 15 to 20 blocks to the hospital, and then sneaked inside to find her human, Nancy Franck, who has been there recovering from cancer surgery for the last several weeks.
