Abstract:
A system and method for encouraging the exchange of feedback in an enterprise. An example method includes providing one or more user interface controls for configuring a feedback reminder to automatically include predetermined insight pertaining to a potential participant in a future feedback exchange; sending the feedback reminder to a messaging system or application; providing a user option to view content of the feedback reminder; and displaying the feedback reminder in response to user selection of the first user option. Another user option enables selection of particular insight, derived from a talent management system, for inclusion in the feedback reminder. The messaging system may include an email application or an application for displaying a worklist.

Abstract:
An automated job application system includes a processor coupled to a display and to a user input device, wherein the automated job application system executes one or more instructions for accepting signals from the user input device to determine responses to questions in a job application; comparing the responses to predetermined conditions; determining that one condition is not met; displaying on the display a notification that the condition is not met; and accepting a signal from a user input device to modify a response to the condition so that the condition is met. In a more specific embodiment, the instructions facilitate displaying the notification that the condition is not met via a hint list. The hint list may provide a plurality of conditions that are not met. The conditions may be required or desired and not required, and an indication may be displayed indicative of which required or desired conditions have been met by the applicant.

Abstract:
A system to create tags for tag cloud displays includes an authentication service to authenticate a user. The system includes a set of valid resources stored in a database system. A tag creation tool permits the authenticated user to create at least one tag that serves to identify a selected resource within the set of valid resources. Each tag includes a weighted value. Each tag may include a public attribute that indicates that the tag is accessible to authenticated users and non-authenticated users. Alternatively, each tag may include a private attribute that indicates that the tag is only accessible to the authenticated user. A user interface displays tags in a tag cloud in accordance with attributes of the tags and weighted values of the tags.

Abstract:
Particular embodiments generally relate to providing recommendations to users. In one example, profile information from a user is received. Profile information may be received in a section of a user's profile, such as an areas of interest section. The profile information is used to determine content that might be of interest to the user. For example, content that is tagged with similar tags to the areas of interest is determined. A recommendation is generated for the user based on the determined content. The recommendation may be determined automatically based on the profile information without a query from the user. Recommendations may then be displayed for a user. For example, the recommendations may be displayed on a profile page in which the user has input the profile information.

Abstract:
A system and method for facilitating controlling locations or associations of displayed content in a user interface. An example method includes displaying a first type of information; providing a first user option to select a portion of the first type of information; providing a second user option to associate selected information with one or more information categories; and displaying an instance of the selected information in association with the one or more information categories. In a specific embodiment, the user interface displays content pertaining to a performance evaluation document, which is associated with one or more enterprise employees. The first type of information includes feedback comments associated with a performance of the one or more enterprise employees.

Abstract:
A system and method for designating or tagging an electronic message, such as an email that includes feedback about an employee's performance. The tagged email can then be automatically embedded within, or otherwise associated with, a performance management document such as a performance review. An example method includes providing a user interface display screen, whereby a user may view contents of an electronic message; providing a first user option, in association with the user interface display screen, to selectively designate the electronic message for a predetermined purpose and providing a signal in response thereto; and associating the electronic message with a document in response to the signal in accordance with a designation of the electronic message. In a specific embodiment, the designation of the electronic message includes a feedback designation, such that the electronic message is designated as a feedback message. The feedback message represents unsolicited feedback. The step of associating includes embedding the electronic message in the document, which may include a performance review document.
