Abstract:
A tank for use in a system that outputs a liquid at a user defined constant temperature in order to regulate the temperature of a piece of equipment includes a body of material defining a chamber for receiving and storing the liquid. The top wall has a fill port and one of the other walls includes an outlet port. An auxiliary port and fluid return port are also included. The body further includes a well, sized to accommodate a deionizer cartridge, extending down into the chamber from an opening in top wall that can be removed. A flow velocity reducer is disposed in the auxiliary port for reducing the velocity of the liquid entering the auxiliary port from the return fluid port and then passing into the fill port so that the liquid does not spray or splash onto the walls of the fill port.

Abstract:
A tank for use in a system that outputs a liquid at a user defined constant temperature in order to regulate the temperature of a piece of equipment includes a body of material having a top wall and a plurality of other walls which collectively define a chamber for receiving and storing the liquid. The top wall of the body of material has a manual fill port for pouring new fluid into the chamber and one of the other walls includes an outlet port for discharging fluid stored in the chamber. An auxiliary port is located on the manual fill port and a return fluid port is located on the auto refill port. The body of material further includes a well which extends down into the chamber from an opening in top wall of the tank and which can be removed. The well is sized to accommodate a deionizer cartridge. When the well is removed, either a heater or an immersion pump can be disposed within the chamber. A bag filter is removably mounted at the bottom of the fill port and filters liquid entering the chamber from the fill port. A sight gauge is partially disposed inside the chamber and partially imbedded in the body of rigid material and in communication with the bottom of the chamber for providing a visual indication of the level of the liquid in the chamber port. A flow velocity reducer is disposed in the auxiliary port downstream of where liquid enters the auxiliary port from the return fluid port for reducing the velocity of the liquid entering the auxiliary port from the return fluid port and then passing into the manual fill port so that the liquid entering the manual fill port does not spray or splash onto the walls of the manual fill port. A cover assembly is removably mounted on the manual fill port and includes a funnel shaped cover and a removably sealing plug.

Abstract:
A pump casing has a metallic band that defines a sidewall of the pump casing and having at least one tab projecting from a surface thereof or at least one opening. The pump casing also has first and second plates disposed opposite one another, with the metallic band being disposed there between, and with the first and second plates and the metallic band jointly defining a chamber of the pump casing. At least one of the first or second plates includes at least one tab or at least one opening respectively cooperating with the at least one opening or the at least one tab of the metallic band so as to retain a formed shape of the metallic band in the pump. The at least one opening may, for example, be a slot in the at least one of the first or second plates.
Rack For Use With A Temperature Controlled Bath, And A Related Method
A rack is provided for use with a temperature controlled bath having a housing containing a reservoir with a supply of working fluid and an opening providing access to the reservoir. The rack includes a rack body, and a vessel support supported by the rack body and configured for supporting at least one vessel. The rack further includes a supporting foot assembly supported by the rack body and including a plurality of support feet. Each support foot is configured for movement between a stowed position and a deployed position.

Abstract:
A recirculating bath includes a reservoir for receiving a working liquid, a recirculating pump, and at least one thermal element. The recirculating pump and thermal element are located externally to the reservoir so that the reservoir has an unobstructed working space. The thermal element may be thermally coupled to the working liquid through an interior surface of the reservoir, or the working liquid may be circulated over the thermal element by the recirculating pump in a chamber external to the reservoir. The recirculating bath may also include a lid that provides access to the reservoir by pivoting on a latching hinge. When open, the lid may provide a working surface adjacent to the reservoir. The lid may also include a selector that unlatches the hinge so that the lid can be removed. The recirculating pump may be fluidically coupled to the reservoir via a manifold.
