Abstract:

This invention provides hermetically-sealed handle assembly with a rotating trigger for use with disposable components, such as surgical clip appliers. The rotating trigger reduces the gripping force necessary to fully control the internal actuator mechanism to operate a disposable surgical clip applier to fully ligate a vessel or other tissue. The hermetic seal on the handle assembly prevents any patient fluids and other bioburden from entering the internal structures. This reduces the possibility of cross-contamination and the costs of sterilization.

Abstract:

Vehicle platforms, and systems, subsystems, and components thereof are described. A self-contained vehicle platform or chassis incorporating substantially all of the functional systems, subsystems and components (e.g., mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) necessary for an operative vehicle. Functional components may include at least energy storage/conversion, propulsion, suspension and wheels, steering, crash protection, and braking systems. Functional components are standardized such that vehicle platforms may be interconnected with a variety of vehicle body designs (also referred to in the art as “top hats”) with minimal or no modification to the functional linkages (e.g., mechanical, structural, electrical, etc.) therebetween. Configurations of functional components are incorporated within the vehicle platform such that there is minimal or no physical overlap between the functional components and the area defined by the vehicle body. Specific functional components of such vehicle platforms, and the relative placement of the various functional components, to allow for implementation of a self-contained vehicle platform are also provided.

Abstract:

A suspension system configured to sit substantially within the profile of a vehicle platform such that none of the elements extend substantially above the plane of the vehicle platform. Abstract:

An actuator is movable between a first position and a second position to move a drive mechanism between a first configuration and a second configuration relative to a housing. A cartridge assembly configured to be removably coupled to the housing to couple such that the cartridge assembly is coupled to the drive mechanism. A first member of the drive mechanism moves a first member of the cartridge assembly to advance a surgical clip of the cartridge assembly in a distal direction when the drive mechanism is placed in the first configuration. A second member of the drive mechanism moves a second member of the cartridge assembly relative to the clamp mechanism when the drive mechanism is placed in the second configuration to transition the clamp mechanism from a first configuration to a second configuration.
