A control circuit for a speakerphone circuit which utilizes an event driven circuit to determine the appropriate gain for the receive and transmit channels is provided. Detectors monitor the relative magnitudes of the signal in the transmit and receive channels. Separate signal-to-noise detectors determine whether signals present in the two channels are voice signals. The event driven circuit receives these inputs, and dependent on the present state (i. e. , transmit, receive, or idle) transitions to a new state in accordance with predefined criteria incorporated into the event driven circuit. In particular, the present invention allows a transition in a single step from a receive to a transmit state, without passing through an idle state. Transition or dummy states allow implementation with simple logic and provide hysteresis.
Control Circuit For Voltage Controlled Attenuator For Speakerphones
An integrated control circuit for generating a regulated control voltage for voltage-controlled attenuators used in speakerphone circuits. The circuit provides separate transmit and receive voltage regulation to provide accurate gain settings for the voltage-controlled attenuators. The circuit eliminates the need for absolute value external components or external signal feedback between the voltage-controlled attenuators and the control circuit.
An integrated circuit voltage controlled attenuator which reduces control voltage feedthrough by employing NPN transistors for both sets of current steering elements is disclosed. A pair of emitter coupled NPN transistors are provided, connected to a common current source. The collector currents of these transistors form input currents of two precision PNP current mirrors. Output currents from the mirrors are coupled to a second pair of emitter coupled NPN transistors, having a current source connected to their emitters, whose value is adjusted by feedback to exactly match the sum of output currents of the precision mirrors. A single set of control voltages is supplied to both sets of emitter coupled NPN transistors. Signal input and output current is coupled from the precision current source output legs and made available in voltage form through operational amplifiers which perform input voltage to current, and output current to voltage conversions, respectively. An integrated control voltage generation technique is also disclosed, which provides accurate gain settings for a voltage controlled attenuator without the need for absolute value external components or signal feedback between the voltage controlled attenuator and control circuit.

Abstract:
In a calibration method, high-accuracy reference values obtained using a high-accuracy optical sensor are received, low-accuracy reference values are determined from reference colors captured from a display using a low-accuracy optical sensor having a lower accuracy than the high-accuracy optical sensor, color measurement values are determined from one or more colors captured from the display using the low-accuracy optical sensor, and the color measurements values are adjusted based on one or more color conversion equations to obtain adjusted color measurement values. The one or more color conversion equations are based on the high-accuracy measurement values and the low-accuracy measurement values. The high-accuracy reference values are reused for calibrations of one or more other low-accuracy optical sensors.
