A surface displacement detection system including a detector for detecting displacement of a surface in a direction normal to the surface as the surface revolves; an encoder which divides the surface into N sectors; a signal processor responsive to the detector for calculating the amount of displacement of the surface in each sector of the surface as it revolves; a displacement value look-up table; and a routine for writing to the table a displacement value for each sector once per M revolutions, and an adjustment system including a focussing actuating element, a routine to read displacement value look-up table, a routine to for updating the position of the focussing actuating element for every sector, according to the displacement values stored in the look-up table.

Abstract:

A cable management apparatus can include a first surface configured for working and a second surface having a channel integrally formed into the apparatus material at the second surface. The channel can have sidewalls, extend longitudinally in a direction parallel to the second surface, have a longitudinal channel opening at the second surface along a substantial portion of the channel, and can be configured to hold a cable therein even when the channel opening faces downward. The cable may be curved within the channel to create elastic potential energy in the cable, and a friction force between the curved cable pushing against the channel sidewalls can hold the cable in place within the channel. The channel may form a cross-section having an undercut that is defined by ledge portions at the channel opening, and the ledge portions can hold the cable in place within the channel.

Abstract:

A method of presenting media content is disclosed. A plurality of assets is received at a device comprising a display and an orientation sensor. The plurality of assets comprises a first video asset associated with a first aspect ratio, and a second video asset associated with a second aspect ratio, different from the first aspect ratio. A desired aspect ratio is determined based on an output of the orientation sensor. In accordance with a determination that the desired aspect ratio is closer to the first aspect ratio than to the second aspect ratio, the first video asset is selected. In accordance with a determination that the desired aspect ratio is closer to the second aspect ratio than to the first aspect ratio, the second video asset is selected. The selected video is presented at the desired aspect ratio via the display.

A grill bag for cooking small food items, such as pieces of meat, seafood or vegetables, on a barbecue grill or the like is in the form or is formable into a pouch. The pouch is formed from a piece of flexible, high temperature resistant material having distributed mesh openings. The pouch of the grill bag can be loaded with small food items and the loaded grill bag easily set onto and removed from a barbecue grill and easily moved or turned over on the grill to efficiently and evenly cook the food items contained in the grill bag.
