Abstract:

A system consolidates records of services from multiple customer accounts, encounters, cases or visits into one account to facilitate comprehensive billing and reimbursement compatible with selected contract (e.g., Medicare health plan) rules for disparate services provided to a customer. A method determines payment for provision of multiple different services based on predetermined reimbursement rules. The method involves receiving a record identifying a service provided to a specific entity and automatically creating a reimbursement record. The reimbursement record groups an item identifying the provided service together with an item identifying an other service provided to the specific entity based on predetermined service record allocation rules. A reimbursement amount for the identified provided service and the other service provided to the specific entity is calculated based on a reimbursement contract. Predetermined allocation rules are automatically applied for identifying a reimbursement record indicating a group of services provided to the specific entity on separate occasions to be billed together on a single bill.

Abstract:

A system for grouping records of charges associated with provision of services to an entity to support reimbursement monitoring includes an acquisition processor for acquiring data related to charges for services provided to the entity. A data processor is coupled to the acquisition processor and to a source of rules. The data processor groups the charges using the rules to provide a reimbursable amount value and creates a record containing data representing the grouped charges and the reimbursable amount value.

Abstract:

A system for processing a record identifying a liability of a financially responsible party includes an acquisition processor for acquiring a record identifying a portion of a charge related to a service provided to a particular customer by a service provider organization. A data processor identifies a party financially responsible for the charge portion and identifies an account type associated with the charge portion using predetermined rules. The data processor also determines whether an account of the identified type exists for the identified financially responsible party. The data processor also initiates creation of an account of the identified type in response to a determination that an account of that type does not exist. A record processor associates the acquired record with the account of the identified type.

Abstract:

A process comprising: (a) introducing a mixture comprising one or more alpha-olefins, carbon monoxide, and, optionally, one or more dienes into a reaction zone under polymerization conditions; (b) contacting the mixture with a catalyst prepared by a process comprising: (i) providing a transition metal in the zero valence state adsorbed on a support; (ii) reacting the supported metal with an oxidant to form a supported compound wherein the metal has a positive valence; (iii) ligating the supported compound with a ligand; and (c) introducing a reoxidant into the reaction zone to maintain the positive valence of the metal.
