Abstract:Linear low density polyethylene and copolymers of ethylene with at least one alpha-olefin containing 3-8 carbon atoms having increased temperature of crystallization and rate of crystallization are prepared by incorporating a proportion of highly isotactic polypropylene therein with the nucleating compound dibenzylidene sorbitol or phenyl phosphate compound.

Abstract:A gusseted thermoplastic bag has two four-film diagonal seals each extending from the gusset points to the edge of the bag. The diagonal seals extend at an angle of less than 45. degree. with respect to the bottom seal. Diagonal seals with an angle between 25. degree. -35. degree. are shown to be superior.
