Abstract:
An exhaust system for an agricultural vehicle is provided that includes a mixer configured to receive a spray of diesel exhaust fluid along a longitudinal axis of the mixer and an exhaust flow along a direction cross-wise to the longitudinal axis of the mixer. Additionally, the mixer is configured to mix the diesel exhaust fluid with the exhaust gas. Furthermore, the mixer is configured to discharge the exhaust gas along the longitudinal axis of the mixer.
An apparatus for treating exhaust includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet, the housing defining a chamber. The inlet is in fluid communication with a source of exhaust. A mixing tube is connected to the inlet. The mixing tube has at least two branches and a plurality of apertures defined in a wall of the mixing tube. A substrate is disposed between the mixing tube and the outlet. The at least two branches converge at an end section of the mixing tube to form a mixing loop.

Abstract:
A control system of an agricultural harvester for controllably harvesting a crop material includes: a lidar sensor configured for sensing a field condition in a forward path of travel of the agricultural harvester and thereby for outputting a field condition signal corresponding thereto; and a controller operatively coupled with the lidar sensor and a header assembly of the agricultural harvester configured for removing the crop material from a field, the controller configured for receiving the field condition signal and for outputting an adjustment signal to raise the header assembly, based at least partially on the field condition signal, when the agricultural harvester reaches an end of a plurality of crop rows.

Abstract:
An aftertreatment system for a work vehicle includes: a fluid injector configured to inject a treatment fluid; a selective catalytic reducer (SCR) substrate; and a mixer fluidly coupled to the fluid injector and the SCR substrate and including at least one scroll defining a scroll open area and configured to receive a flow of exhaust gas and the treatment fluid. The mixer has a fixed wall and a plate displaceably coupled to the fixed wall, the plate being associated with the at least one scroll such that a change in a flow rate of exhaust gas into the at least one scroll passively causes displacement of the plate to adjust a size of the scroll open area.
Mixing Conduits Including Swirler Vanes For Use Within An Exhaust Treatment System
A mixing conduit for use within an exhaust treatment system of a work vehicle. The mixing conduit is configured to receive engine exhaust and a mixture of engine exhaust and reductant. The mixing conduit includes an outer tube and an inner tube within the outer tube. Each tube extends lengthwise from upstream ends to downstream ends of the inner and outer tubes, respectively. The inner tube includes an exterior surface, and the outer tube includes an interior surface. The inner tube defines an inner flowpath within the inner tube. The outer tube and inner tube also define an outer flowpath radially between the exterior surface of the inner tube and the interior surface of the outer tube. The mixing conduit further includes one or more swirler vanes extending radially between the exterior surface of the inner tube and the interior surface of the outer tube and within the outer flowpath.

Abstract:
A fluid tank thaw system that includes a fluid tank that receives a first fluid. A heating element within the fluid tank that heats the first fluid. A magnetic stir system that stirs the first fluid within the fluid tank to increase a thaw rate of the first fluid. The magnetic stir system includes a magnetic stirrer within the fluid tank. The magnetic stirrer rotates within the fluid tank to agitate the first fluid. An electric coil changes polarity to rotate the magnetic stirrer.

Abstract:
A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system includes a SCR canister including a SCR inlet configured for receiving engine exhaust from a work vehicle and a SCR outlet configured for expelling a treated exhaust flow. The system includes first and second SCR chambers housed within the SCR canister and configured to react mixtures of exhaust reductant and associated first and second portions of the engine exhaust with a catalyst to generate first and second treated exhaust flow portions, respectively. The system includes an outlet chamber positioned between the SCR outlet and the first and second SCR chambers. Moreover, the outlet chamber is configured to combine the first and second treated exhaust flow portions to form the treated exhaust flow. Further, the system includes a chamber mixer positioned upstream of the SCR outlet and configured to promote mixing of the first and second treated exhaust flow portions within the outlet chamber.
