On the first question, I have to punt because Dolphins reporting rules for credentialed media members prohibits us from mentioning who works with what unit. Sorry. As for the second question, Id see Patrick Paul and Jonah Savaiinaea are making good progress.one with Savaiinaea at left guard and James Daniels at right guard because, while its an adjustment for both moving to another side, Daniels has more experience and is better equipped to handle it. On the other hand, theres something to the idea of pairing Jonah and Patrick Paul on one side.

s program over the past three years. But at this point, with Armstead gone and significant questions on the roster (fingers crossed for Miami on second-year man Patrick Paul at left tackle), the hard question they have to ask themselves is whether they can win a championship with the current group.

5 takeaways from the Dolphins’ initial 53-man roster
On the outside, the Dolphins look to have a strong duo in Terron Armstead and Austin Jackson. But Armstead suffers injuries on a seemingly annual basis and second-round rookie Patrick Paul hasnt looked like a player ready to make an immediate impact if his number is called.

Falcons vs Dolphins Preseason Week 1 final score and immediate reactions
Miamis rookies are playing well tonight. Patrick Paul played the entire first half at left tackle. Jaylen Wright has seven carries for 40 yards and a touchdown. Malik Washington has a carry for 21 yards and a reception for five yards, along with two kick returns for a 23-yard average and four punt

2024 NFL Draft grades for Miami Dolphins give solid marks following Chop Robinson, Patrick Paul, more
Second-round pick Patrick Paul is a bit of a developmental tackle, and he wont address Miamis need on the interior. However, he has the size (68, 331 lbs) and physical tools to develop into a solid starter and will give Miami insurance behind Terron Armstead. The 32-year-old Armstead will be bacf I were running this team, I would have taken tweener defensive end/tackle Darius Robinson or center Graham Barton instead. Patrick Paul (55) is a selection for the future he played left tackle in college and could replace Terron Armstead there down the line. But Im not sure hes ready to start Paul Miami selected a potential heir to Terron Armstead in Houstons Patrick Paul. Paul has terrific length and movement skills. He led all FBS tackles in 2023 with a 91.5 PFF pass-blocking grade. Pass protection is at a premium with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, so this is a significant move for
Washington Post (Mark Maske) The Dolphins focused on their lines in the drafts early stages, getting edge rusher Chop Robinson in Round 1 and offensive tackle Patrick Paul in Round 2. But they still managed to add to their collection of speedsters by trading up for a fourth-round selection to use) and Jaelan Phillips (Achilles) and fact a surplus of edge players is never a bad thing. Choosing OT Patrick Paul in Round 2 was a defensible hedge given the appearance that LT Terron Armstead seems to be coming to the end of the line though Miami seems to remain quite vulnerable up the middle. MAP News (Rob Maaddi): Edge Chop Robinson has AP Defensive Rookie of the Year potential. OT Patrick Paul doesnt seem to fit the teams preferred style of athletic tackles. WR Malik Washington is a sleeper in the sixth. Grade: B-

National Grades on Dolphins Second-Round Pick Patrick Paul
Offensive line was a need for the Dolphins coming into the 2024 NFL Draft, so it isnt a surprise to see them select an offensive tackle in the second round. However, with guys like BYUs Kingsley Suamataia still on the board, it is a surprise to hearPatrick Pauls name called at this spot. The HoPro Football Focus: "Miami selected a potential heir to Terron Armstead in Houstons Patrick Paul. Paul has terrific length and movement skills. He led all FBS tackles in 2023 with a 91.5 PFF pass-blocking grade. Pass protection is at a premium with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, so this is a signifThe 33rd Team (Ian Valentino): "Miami opted against going for a more athletic blocker who fits their zone running game. Patrick Paul is strong but is a clunky mover. Miami still needs help at guard, while Paul likely serves as a backup this year." Grade: C-

NFL draft: Who's available for Chicago Bears on Day 2?
At 6-8, 331 pounds, Paul is much, much bigger than his older brother Chris, the NBA point guard. Patrick Paul has 36 1/4-inch arms and combines that with impressive footwork. If he slips into Round 3, he could be a developmental player worth investing in thanks to his natural pass-protection gifts.
