A flexible linearly expansible expansion joint including a flexible sleeve utilized in the connection of one tubular member to a second tubular member. The flexible sleeve encircles the one tubular member and is attached at one end thereto, the opposed end including an elongated cylindrical portion having a diameter less than the diameter of the second tubular member wherein the elongated cylindrical portion extends into the second tubular member and an O-ring is disposed around the outer surface of the cylindrical portion and fits within an annular area defined by the outer surface of the flexible sleeve and the inner surface of the second tubular member to provide a fluid tight seal between the first and second tubular members.
A fuel supply system for a fuel spray combustor nozzle of a portable heater including a pump connected to the fuel spray combustor nozzle on the high pressure side thereof and alternatively connectable on the low pressure side to an on-board fuel chamber storage means or to an off-board storage supply through an actuable valve and solenoid system connected by fluid piping, valves and fittings extending between the on-board nozzle, pump, and storage chambers and toward off-board supply.
Portable air heating apparatus for supplying heated air to a plenum chamber including a partitioned housing with at least two chambers, one of which is sound-conditioned to contain a power member, the housing having therein a blower and radiator connected to the sound-conditioned power member, a heat exchanger communicating with the blower, heated air passing from the heat exchanger in the housing to the plenum chamber and recirculated therefrom back to the housing over the radiator before returning to the blower.
A trailer frame is provided with a positioning member for releasably receiving a towbar and parking stand thereto. The towbar is provided with a releasable locking device thereon for positioning the towbar in a plurality of positions. Generally, the towbar is adaptable for positioning in a towing position, an operating position, and a storage position.

Abstract:
A forced air heater for heating a venting air stream including an outer casing, a fan for forcing the venting air stream through the casing, a combustion drum providing a combustion chamber for a burner supported within the casing, a flue gas header spaced downstream from the drum connected in separate fluid communication with the combustion chamber to accommodate evacuation of combustion gases from the chamber through the header, a passage for the venting air stream extending through the casing in heat transfer relation with the drum and header, and a plurality of vanes secured within the casing adapted to circulate a predetermined portion of the venting air stream between said drum and header.
An indirect fired air heater of the portable type and method of operating the same wherein the combustion gas flow is reversed in a combustion drum and passed through a heat exchanger between the drum and the outer casing, the heat exchanger being supported from the outer casing with the combustion drum floatingly supported therebetween.
