Abstract:

Given an existing piece of music, represented in any form such as midi, sound frequencies, etc, but most notably in the form of sheet music and musical scores and music-xml, methods can be applied to the existing music to create an entirely new sound. While the traditional transposition of music shifts all notes from one key signature to another and essentially produces the same melody in a different key, this method transposes all the notes of an existing composition using a totally different set of transposition rules to produce unique new music.

A method for controlling a medical light by a handle assembly removably mounted to the medical light includes storing configuration data at a controller of the handle assembly that defines a mapping of handle assembly user inputs to medical light property adjustments; detecting a first user input to the handle assembly; and sending a control signal to the medical light to vary a property of light provided by the medical light according to the first user input and the configuration data.

Abstract:

A Fresnel lens including a plurality of sawtooth-shaped projections, with each projection including a first surface at a first angle and a second surface at a second angle. Each first surface has top and bottom edges and each second surface has top and bottom edges. Each projection has a top intersection where the top edge of the first surface intersects the top edge of the second surface. Adjacent projections have a bottom intersection where the bottom edge of the second surface of a first one of the adjacent projections intersects the bottom edge of the first surface of a second one of the adjacent projections. The lens portion is opaque at the top intersection of the projections, at the bottom intersection of adjacent projections, and on the first surface between the top intersection and the bottom intersection.
