Abstract:

A dynamic content routing network routes update messages containing updates to properties of live objects from input sources to clients having the objects. Certain objects served to clients by a server are indicated as “live. ” When the clients receive live objects, the clients identify the object IDs associated with the objects and register the object IDs with the routing network. The routing network maintains a registry of object IDs and clients. An input source provides an update message to the routing network containing the object ID and data specifying an update to a property of the object. The routing network routes the message to each client that has registered for the object ID contained in the message. Upon receipt of the message, a client updates the specified property of the live object.

Abstract:

A method of forecasting the demand for ambulance services based upon a determination from the historical record of the number of currently active calls at the time each new call is received. The method may utilize records of specific calls history including the time each call was received and the time each call was completed, or it may use information on the number of calls received each hour to simulate specific calls history. The method may be extended to a "third dimension" to better account for the effect of service demands and staffing levels in preceding hours. The method has application to other services having the characteristics of limited available service resources, randomly occurring service requests but historically-repeating levels of demand, and relatively long service times.

Abstract:

The present invention is generally directed at systems and methods for managing one or more data centers. Systems in accordance with some embodiments of the invention may include a software as a service (SaaS) application including a user interface for designing or modifying a topology, a VAR application in selective communication with the SaaS application and with one or more data stores, configured to determine how to create or modify the topology by configuring the one or more data centers. Methods in accordance with some embodiments of the invention may include receiving a topology design or edit, communicating with one or more data centers, determining how to satisfy the topology design or edit based on the topology design or edit and communications with the one or more data centers; and satisfying the topology design or edit by creating the designed topology or editing the pre-existing topology.
