About:
Born in Durban, South Africa in 1977, I moved to Columbia, Maryland at the age of 3 with my parents and my older sister. At the age of 5 we relocated to Baltimore, Maryland where I have lived ever since. I am a product of the public school education system, from Rodgers Forge Elementary School to Dumbarton Middle School to Towson High School.
After graduating from Towson High I went to a small private college by the name of Gettysburg College, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I graduted in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management while minoring in Psychology.
Upon graduation I began working in my father's architectural firm where I began to learn how the "real world" operates in terms of business. After a few years I decided to move into outside sales, where I pounded the pavements of Maryland, D.C. and northern Virginia for several years. It was in 2004 that I happened upon the mortgage industry and after navigating my way through several less than stellar companies, I landed with Access Capital Mortgage in 2005.
On a personal level, I was a 3 sport letterman in high school and the co-captain of the football, basketball and golf teams my senior year. I was very active in intramural sports while at college as well.
With the incredible stabililty of our parent bank, Presidential Bank, we have weathered the "mortgage crisis" successfully and can boast that we are moving forward with a full head of steam in 2010. As a lender, we are in position to lend our own funds and thus are not dependant upon anyone to get deals through and get them through successfully.

Abstract:
Disclosed is apparatus for scanning a field of view for two-dimensional data and for rapidly processing the data. There is a video device viewing the field of view and producing a two-dimensional matrix of pixel data as an output representing a plurality of pixel positions of the field of view. A digital memory receives and holds the two-dimensional matrix of pixel data output from the video device in a plurality of multiple pixel data words. There is also a digital processor including a register for receiving pixel data and logic for processing data to decode it. Primarily, there is pixelizer logic and associated circuitry connected between the digital memory and the digital processor for removing data associated with a specified pixel position within the field of view from an associated one of the plurality of multiple pixel data words in the digital memory and for placing the data into a pre-established bit position within the register of the digital processor. The time required to repeatedly obtain the necessary pixels for processing is thereby greatly reduced and minimized.

Abstract:
Methods of controlling the power level of a pulsed laser beam being used to scan barcodes and the like in order to increase the depth-of-field. The pulses may comprise a plurality of pulses above and below a maximum legal power level so that, on average, the power output is below the legal limit. The sensor may be monitored for no-signal and over-signal conditions and the power of the laser beam adjusted accordingly.

Abstract:
A circuit for sensing network speed in a test instrument for local area networks (LANs) is provided. After coupling the test instrument to the LAN of unknown speed, a link pulse is found among the twisted-wire pairs so that the test instrument is configured for the transmit and receive pairs. The link pulse is then coupled to a comparator that compares the received voltage against a predetermined reference voltage level to develop a trigger signal. The trigger signal is received by a timer circuit which measures time values from the link pulse. The time values are collected by a microprocessor are then compared against a decision value to reach a decision whether the test instrument is coupled to a link running 10BASE-T protocol, 100BASE-T protocol, or a 10/100 dual-speed device. After the decision has been determined, the appropriate chipset is then powered up and coupled to the LAN, thereby minimizing battery drain and preventing errors from being introduced in the LAN by the test instrument.

Abstract:
A protocol analyzer pod for monitoring U-interface data streams in a communication system wherein full duplex U-interface line codes (such as AMI and 2B1Q) are used. The protocol analyzer pod is intrusively inserted (that is, inserted in series) in a U-interface line between a central office and a customer equipment. The protocol analyzer pod includes two cross-connected U-interface transceivers. According to the present invention, each end of the U-interface line is terminated into one of the U-interface transceivers. The two U-interface transceivers perform adaptive equalization and echo cancelling on their respective line segments. Also, the two U-interface transceivers separate the full duplex U-interface data stream on the U-interface line into separate input and output data streams. A protocol analyzer may monitor the full duplex U-interface data stream by monitoring the half duplex input and output data streams. It is understood that this technique could be used for line codes other than the AMI and 2B1Q discussed here.
