Abstract:

The present invention provides a method and apparatus for controlling recursion at system startup. The method comprises creating one or more levels of device tree nodes branching from a root node, wherein the number of levels of device tree nodes is equal to a recursion depth. The apparatus comprises a storage unit adapted to store a recursion control process and a control unit adapted to execute the recursion control process, wherein the recursion control process causes the control unit to control recursion during system startup.

Abstract:

A system for creating as-built or measured drawings is described herein. The invention allows an operator to collect a set of data at a job-site, in such a manner that individual components of the job-site are linked relative to one another and to use that data to create accurate measured drawings that reflect the structure and content layout of the site. A knowledge based system is used to parse the data in real-time to produce a visual indication that the data has been recorded correctly. Error minimizing functions are used to ensure data integrity. The data may then be uploaded to a central computer server, for content-checking, authorization, and archival purposes. Since the invention provides an integrated environment for recording data and creating drawings, the need to translate data between systems is minimized, reducing the possibility of errors due to operator mis-keying or mis-interpretation.

Abstract:

The browsable database can allow for high-throughput analysis of protein sequences. One helpful feature may be a simplified ontology of protein function, which allows browsing of the database by biological functions. Biologist curators may have associated the ontology terms with Hidden Markov Models (HMMs), rather than individual sequences, so that they can be applied to additional sequences. To ensure accurate functional classification, HMMs may be constructed not only for families, but for curator-defined subfamilies, whenever family members have divergent functions or nomenclature. Multiple sequence alignments and phylogenetic trees, including curator-assigned information, can be available for each family. Abstract:

A multifunctional circuit analyzer is disclosed which is capable of determining the complete signature of an unknown electrical signal. The circuit analyzer utilizes a high and low peak detection circuit and an analog to digital converter to determine the outer limits of the signal. The high and low threshold voltages are selected between the limits of the signal. Each time the unknown electrical signal passes through the preset high or low threshold voltage, a high or low threshold digital signal occurs. A logic circuit operates on these high and low threshold digital signals and activates the start and stop gate signals. These gate signals allow a time base signal to pass through a gate circuit into a series of decade counters. The information in the counters are thereafter transferred into decoders and then multiplexed to a display. The multifunctional circuit analyzer disclosed is capable of measuring, rise time, fall time, frequency, duty cycle, TRC counting, width, period, coincidence of two signals, the interval between two signals, count functions, frequency ratio, AC volts, DC volts and resistance.

Abstract:

An augmented reality (AR) platform for the Internet of Things (IoT) is disclosed. The AR platform enables a user to associate AR objects with IoT devices. These associations may further enable a user to direct a control input to a particular IoT device and receive outputs such as sensor measurements or state information from the IoT device via interaction with an associated AR object. These AR objects may be perceived by the user via a client device, such as via an AR viewer or other human interface. The AR platform further enables users to create shareable objects that define an association among or between multiple AR objects and their IoT devices that can be shared with and modified by other users.
