An apparatus and method including a die assembly and tooling, which includes a draw bolt and coaxially disposed expandable element. When control of the apparatus is initiated the die assembly and draw bolt retract or move down over the work piece until the die assembly is seated in the die holder. The draw bolt continues to move down which causes the elastomer insert to expand and push the work piece outwardly forcing the work piece to conform to the contour of the die assembly creating the desired transition diameter.
A method and apparatus for a swaging apparatus. The swaging apparatus comprises a housing, a holding unit, and a moveable member. The holding unit on the housing is capable of receiving and holding an inflexible tube and a swage fitting. The moveable member is capable of moving axially along the housing with respect to an axis for the inflexible tube and the swage fitting to connect the swage fitting to the inflexible tube and create a seal between the swage fitting and the inflexible tube.

Abstract:
A duct-forming apparatus includes an apparatus frame, a forming piston assembly having a cylinder carried by the apparatus frame and a forming piston extendable from the cylinder. A duct-shaping assembly includes a form die having a form die interior and a forming surface provided in the form die interior; a forming assembly having a plurality of expandable forming sections provided in the form die adjacent to the forming surface; and a plurality of piston openings provided in the expandable forming sections, respectively, and adapted to receive the forming piston of the forming piston assembly. A duct-forming method is also disclosed.

Abstract:
Provided herein are improved processes for the synthesis of substituted tetrahydro beta-carboline derivatives. In particular, provided herein are improved processes useful for the preparation of (S)-4-chlorophenyl 6-chloro-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-1H-pyrido[3,4-]indole-2(9H)-carboxylate. Formula (I)
A method for practicing a swaging operation is described. A swaging apparatus comprises a housing, a holding unit, and a moveable member.

Abstract:
An apparatus for inspecting a tubular workpiece may include a probe assembly and a rotation mechanism. The probe assembly may include a transducer array positionable adjacent to an inner surface of the tubular workpiece. The probe assembly may generate transmitted sound waves and may receive reflected sound waves. The rotation mechanism may rotate the probe assembly relative to the tubular workpiece in a manner such that the transducer array passes over the inner surface in a circumferential direction during transmission of the transmitted sound waves.
