An aspect-oriented document that controls both the granularity of functionality and content integration. As such, embodiments of the innovation enable programmatic interoperability prompted via the content of a document. The document-centric environment can utilize an aspect-oriented document component that controls/dictates appropriate expert applications based at least in part upon content of the data. These aspect-oriented documents shift the focus from the application to the data. As such, in this novel environment, many applications can operate on the same data file, each doing its piece. A novel feature of the innovation is a collaboration model where fragments of project information are each maintained with expert applications or applets and can expose data to each other to tie different dimensions together.
A system for sharing and displaying information may have a definition tool that allows a user to select a group of information sources and publish the sources as a situation for the user. A display mechanism may be able to collect several situations from various sources and display the situations using various formats to view situations and links between situations. A server system may facilitate communication and sharing data between clients.

Abstract:
Some implementations include displaying media content items on a home screen of a computing device. A display order for a list of media content items may be determined based, at least in part, on a predicted likelihood that an individual one of the plurality of media content items will be selected. A home screen of a user interface may be displayed, according to the determined display order, with a list of a plurality of media content items that are available to the computing device.

Abstract:
A user viewing a presentation of media content can obtain related supplemental content through the same or a different interface, on the same or a different device. A listener or other such component can attempt to detect information about the media, such as tags present in the media, the occurrence of songs or people in the media, and other such information. The detected information can be analyzed to attempt to identify one or more aspects of the media. The identified aspects can be used to attempt to locate supplemental content that is related to the media content and potentially of interest to the user. The interest of the user can be based upon historical user data, preferences, or other such information. The user can be notified of supplemental content on a primary display, and can access the supplemental content on a secondary display, on the same or a separate device.

The playback of video content upon a display is enhanced through the unobtrusive presentation of extrinsic data upon the same display. A video content feature is rendered on a display. A quantity of extrinsic data relevant to a current time in the video content feature is determined based at least in part on viewing history of a user. A graphical element presenting at least a portion of the extrinsic data is rendered on the display while the video content feature is also being rendered on the display.
