Abstract:
Provided are compounds of the following formula: wherein R is C2-C6 mono- or multi-unsaturated hydrocarbon having one or more ethylene, acetylene or allene groups, A is 18 or 19, and X is H or halogen. The compounds of the invention bind to dopamine transporter with high affinity and selectivity and are thus useful as diagnostic and therapeutic agents for diseases associated with dopamine transporter dysfunction. The radiolabeled compounds are useful as imaging agents for visualizing the location and density of dopamine transporter by PET imaging.

Abstract:
A series of compounds in the 4-fluoroalkyl-3-halophenyl nortropanes family are described as diagnostic and therapeutic agents for diseases associated with serotonin transporter dysfunction. These compounds bind to serotonin transporter protein with high affinity and selectivity. The invention provides methods of synthesis which incorporate radioisotopic halogens at a last step which permit high radiochemical yield and maximum usable product life. The radiolabeled compounds of the invention are useful as imaging agents for visualizing the location and density of serotonin transporter by PET and SPECT imaging.

Abstract:
A modular communications apparatus. The apparatus comprises a dielectric substrate, a radiating structure disposed on a surface of the substrate, and an electronics module disposed within the dielectric substrate. The electronics module comprises a power amplifier and signal receiving components. The apparatus further comprises fixed length transmission lines connecting the radiating structure and the electronics module, a length of each transmission line selected to present a desired impedance at an input and an output terminal of each transmission line without requiring separate impedance matching elements.

The apparatus comprises a transmitting antenna, a receiving antenna, a first serial configuration of a first power amplifier and a first matching network for producing a first signal, the first power amplifier operating in a first frequency band, a second serial configuration of a second power amplifier and a second matching network for producing a second signal, the second power amplifier operating in a second frequency band, a first switching element for switchably supplying the first signal or the second signal to the transmitting antenna, a first and a second receiver; and a second switching element for switchably directing a signal received at the receiving antenna to the first receiver or the second receiver.
Substituted Seven-Membered Heterocyclic Compounds As Dipeptidyl Peptidase-Iv Inhibitors For The Treatment Of Diabetes
Jacqueline D. Hicks - Scotch Plains NJ, US Tesfaye Biftu - Freehold NJ, US Ping Chen - Edison NJ, US Xiaoxia Qian - New York NY, US Robert R. Wilkening - Maplewood NJ, US
The present invention is directed to novel amino-substituted seven-membered heterocyclic compounds of structural formula (I) which are inhibitors of the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme and which are useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases in which the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme is involved, such as diabetes and particularly Type 2 diabetes. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and the use of these compounds and compositions in the prevention or treatment of such diseases in which the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme is involved.
Novel Crystalline Forms Of A Dipeptidyl Peptidase-Iv Inhibitor
Novel crystalline forms of (2R,3S,5R)-2-(2,5-Difluorophenyl)-5-[2-(methylsulfonyl)-2,6-dihydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazol-5(4H)-yl]tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-amine are potent inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase-IV and are useful for the treatment of non-insulin dependent (Type 2) diabetes mellitus. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing these novel forms, processes to prepare these forms and their pharmaceutical compositions as well as uses thereof for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes.
