Abstract:

Propellant compositions are coated with an energetic deterrent coating which reduces the burning rate at the surface of the propellant grain and causes the propellant to burn progressively. The use of energetic materials, that are slightly soluble in the coating solvent, improve the burning properties of the propellant without decreasing the chemical energy.

Abstract:

An igniter composition is provided including metal fuel particles having a predetermined average diameter and metallic oxide oxidizer particles having a predetermined average diameter. The metal fuel particles are mixed substantially homogeneously with the metallic oxide oxidizer particles and, upon initiation of the igniter composition, actively participate in an exothermic reaction with the metallic oxide oxidizer particles. Also provided are methods and devices containing the igniter composition.

Abstract:

A thickened aqueous bleaching cleanser has a viscosity of at least 100 centipoise, provides a cleaning-effective residence time on non-horizontal surfaces, and maintains viscosity and bleach stability over a typical shelf life. In one embodiment the cleanser comprises a source of a halogen bleach, a copolymer thickener including a hydrophobic comonomer and a hydrophilic comonomer, and a mixed surfactant system including an uncharged surfactant and an anionic surfactant.
