  • Retractable Braking Device For Snowboards

    view source
  • US Patent:
    8286989, Oct 16, 2012
  • Filed:
    Nov 6, 2009
  • Appl. No.:
    12/613840
  • Inventors:
Randall T. Wasserman - San Diego CA, US
  • International Classification:
    A63C 7/00
  • US Classification:
    280604, 280 1422
  • Abstract:
A snowboard includes an elongate board member having an upper surface, a bottom surface and a pair of lateral edges. A footbrake is pivotally mounted to the upper surface of the board member by a pivot rod and is pivotable between a raised and undeployed position and a lowered and deployed position. A footbrake retractor attached to the footbrake urges the foot brake toward the raised and undeployed position. A pair of lateral brake paddles are operatively connected to the footbrake and extend beyond the lateral edges of the board member. When the footbrake is in the lowered and deployed position, the pair of lateral brake paddles extend below the bottom surface of the board member. A footbrake conversion kit and method for converting a conventional snowboard into a snowboard with a footbrake are also provided.
  • Financial Services Credit Program

    view source
  • US Patent:
    20060161486, Jul 20, 2006
  • Filed:
    Jan 20, 2005
  • Appl. No.:
    11/040703
  • Inventors:
Randall Wasserman - San Diego CA, US
  • International Classification:
    G06Q 40/00
  • US Classification:
    705035000
  • Abstract:
In the present invention, consumers are issued a credit card that is secured by the consumer's vehicle. This new card will combine all the best features and benefits of a traditional credit card, along with the higher loan amounts of a traditional consumer loan and the ease of origination, funding, and security of a car title loan. Additional benefits include open-ended terms instead of traditional fixed installment loan terms, lower monthly payments, higher credit limits, and flexible, revolving lines of credit. No other bank or lender currently issues a credit card secured by a customer's vehicle. While there are a number of banks that offer secured credit cards, none of them are secured with a cardholder's vehicle, and while there are a number of conventional consumer, auto, and car title lenders that make loans secured by a customer's vehicle, none of them issue credit cards.
