Abstract:
A bladder for use with a strap to carry a load includes a first longitudinal chamber, a second longitudinal chamber spaced apart from and substantially parallel to the first longitudinal chamber, and a plurality of transverse chambers. Each transverse chamber is connected at a first end thereof to the first longitudinal chamber and at a second end thereof to the second longitudinal chamber, is in fluid communication with the first and second longitudinal chambers, and has a longitudinal axis extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the other transverse chambers.
An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole assembly. The sole assembly is secured to the upper and includes a support assembly. The support assembly has a plurality of primary tubular members spaced from one another and extending laterally across at least a portion of the sole assembly. A plurality of secondary tubular members extends laterally across at least a portion of the sole assembly, with each secondary tubular member positioned between and interconnecting a pair of adjacent primary tubular members.

Abstract:
A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a midsole having a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and a peripheral surface extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. The bottom surface includes a recess defining a first opening in the peripheral surface. The sole structure for an article of footwear also includes an insert disposed within the recess and including a first material having a first gloss unit value and a second material disposed on an outer surface of the first material and having a second gloss unit value. The second material is at least partially disposed within the first opening.

Abstract:
A method of forming an article of footwear can include selecting a base footwear structure, the base footwear structure including an upper that is configured to be coupled to a sole structure, retrieving a model of an article of footwear that can be formed from the selected base footwear structure, selecting one or more design elements from a plurality of available design elements associated with the model, updating the model based on the one or more selected design elements, and generating the article of footwear from the updated model. In some embodiments, the one or more design elements are design elements that can be added to or modified on the base footwear structure to form the article of footwear.
Modular Article Of Footwear And Method Of Manufacturing Customized Article Of Footwear
A modular article of footwear comprises a sole structure having a foot-facing surface, a ground-engaging surface, and a peripheral side surface extending between the foot-facing surface and the ground-engaging surface. The peripheral side surface has at least one recess. The modular article of footwear includes an upper component, and a flange secured to the upper component and projecting therefrom. An inner surface of the flange fits against and is securable to the peripheral side surface of the sole structure with the flange in the at least one recess, and the upper component at least partially defining a foot-receiving cavity over the foot-facing surface. A method of manufacturing a customized article of footwear comprises receiving a request for an upper with a specified characteristic, and assembling the modular article of footwear having an upper in accordance with the request.
