Abstract:

A table includes a table top and a leg movable between an extended position and a collapsed position relative to the table top. A support brace interconnects the leg and the table top, and a locking member is used to secure the support brace in a fixed position. The locking mechanism preferably includes a body with an outwardly extending tab that is sized and configured to lock the support brace in a fixed position when the leg is in an extended position and the locking mechanism is in a locked position. Desirably, a biasing member is used to bias the locking member into the locked position.

Abstract:

A table that includes a table top with a first half which is pivotally connected to a second half. The first and second halves of the table top are movable between a first position in which the halves are generally aligned and a second position in which the halves are generally placed adjacent to each other. The first and second halves of the table top are preferably constructed from blow-molded plastic and each of the halves desirably have a generally hollow interior. The first and second halves of the table top may include interlocking portions that are interconnected when the halves are in the aligned position. Desirably, the interlocking portions have generally hollow interiors that are integrally formed with the generally hollow interiors of the halves of the table top during the blow-molding process. The table top may also include one or more overlapping portions that are interconnected when the halves of the table top are in the aligned position. The overlapping portions may also have generally hollow interiors that are integrally formed with the generally hollow interiors of the halves of the table top during the blow-molding process.

Abstract:

A table desirably includes a table top that is constructed from blow-molded plastic. A frame is mounted to the table top by one or more first frame mounting portions. The frame mounting portions are preferably integrally formed in the table top as part of a unitary, one-piece construction. Each of the frame mounting portions may include a recess that is sized and configured to connect the frame to the table top. Desirably, the frame is connected to the table top by a snap, friction or interference fit, and without the use of mechanical fasteners such as bolts or screws.

Abstract:

A table may include a table top and one or more legs, which may be movable between an extended and a collapsed position relative to the table top. The table may also include one or more securing members that are sized and configured to receive at least a portion of the one or more legs in the collapsed position. Additionally, the table may include one or more mounting members that are sized and configured to receive another portion of the table such as a cross bar. Advantageously, the securing members and mounting members may be attached to the table top by a snap, friction or interference fit, which may allow the securing members and mounting members to be attached to the table top at any time during the manufacturing process. It may also allow the table to be used with different types of securing members, mounting members and legs. In addition, it may allow the securing members and mounting members to be replaced, if desired.

A table may include a table top with a first portion that is movable relative to a second portion between a folded position and an unfolded position. The table may also include a retainer that is sized and configured to retain the table in a folded position so that the table does not unintentionally unfold when the folded table is being carried, transported and/or stored. To help retain the table in a folded position, the retainer may include a first end that is connected to the first portion of the table top and a second end that is connected to the second portion of the table top. Abstract:

A foldable table includes a table top having collapsible legs connected thereto. The table top includes a first table top section and a second table top section. A first hinge assembly hingedly connecting the first table top section to the second table top section such that the table top can selectively move between a folded position and an unfolded position. A latch engages with the first hinge assembly so as to releasably lock the first hinge assembly when the table top is in the unfolded position. In alternative embodiments, portions of the table top sections can interlock when the table is in the unfolded position. A handle can project from between the table top sections when the table is in the folded position.
