Abstract:
A plastic cutlery item, fabricated primarily from a plastic material, such as polystyrene, having a metallic coating that imparts to this cutlery item the appearance of metal cutlery or silverware. The plastic cutlery or tableware items are molded using traditional injection molding techniques, and subjected to a vacuum metallizing process in an individualized non-contiguous manner, where a thin metallic layer is deposited on at least one of their surfaces. The resultant items simulate the appearance of solid metal cutlery or tableware. In the most preferred embodiment of the invention the plastic cutlery or tableware items are molded from a light-transmitting grade of Polystyrene resin and are coated with a thin stainless steel layer through vacuum sputtering deposition on only one of the surfaces.

Abstract:
Improved stripper solutions for removing photoresists from substrates are provided that typically have freezing points below about +15 C. and high loading capacities. The stripper solutions comprise dimethyl sulfoxide, a quaternary ammonium hydroxide, and an alkanolamine having at least two carbon atoms, at least one amino substituent and at least one hydroxyl substituent, the amino and hydroxyl substituents attached to two different carbon atoms. Some formulation can additionally contain a secondary solvent. Methods for use of the stripping solutions are additionally provided.

Abstract:
System and method for enabling intra-operative selection of an image registration transformation for use in displaying a first image dataset and a second image dataset in correspondence with one another. Image dataset acquisition devices () obtain the first and second image datasets. A similarity function indicative of a likelihood that the first and second image datasets are in correspondence with one another is computed by a processor () and then a ranking of each of a plurality of local maxima of the similarity function is determined. Registration transformations derived from a plurality of the local maxima are displayed on a display (), and using a user-interface (), a physician can select each registration transformation to ascertain visually whether it is the clinically-optimal registration transformation for subsequent use.

Abstract:
Back end of line (BEOL) stripping solutions which can be used in a stripping process that replaces etching resist ashing process are provided. The stripping solutions are useful for fabricating circuits and/or forming electrodes on semiconductor devices for semiconductor integrated circuits with good efficiency and with low and acceptable metal etch rates. Methods for their use are similarly provided. The preferred stripping agents contain a polar aprotic solvent, water, an amine and a quaternary hydroxide that is not tetramethylammonium hydroxide. Further provided are integrated circuit devices and electronic interconnect structures prepared according to these methods.
A method of cleaning semiconductor wafers using an acid cleaner followed by an alkaline cleaner to clean contaminants from the materials is provided. The acid cleaner removes substantially all of the metal contaminants while the alkaline cleaner removes substantially all of the non-metal contaminants, such as organics and particulate material.

The abrasion resistance of the metallic coating can be enhanced by subjecting the articles to a post-metallizing holding period or by applying a clear protective overcoat.

Abstract:
Improved dry stripper solutions for removing one, two or more photoresist layers from substrates are provided. The stripper solutions comprise dimethyl sulfoxide, a quaternary ammonium hydroxide, and an alkanolamine, an optional secondary solvent and less than about 3 wt. % water and/or a dryness coefficient of at least about 1. Methods for the preparation and use of the improved dry stripping solutions are additionally provided. Advantageous solution methods are provided for the use of the novel stripper solutions to prepare an electronic interconnect structure by removing a plurality of resist layers to expose an underlying dielectric and related substrate without imparting damage to any of the underlying structure.
