The gun was recovered from suspect Raymond Durham after he allegedly shotofficersin the area of Ash and Tillman on the city's west side. He was later arrested a couple hours later in the area of Vinewood and Michigan Avenue, wounded from his earlier altercation.As for any rumors of a confession from Durham, 60, regarding the death of Rose, the chief says without question there was never a confession. And police are taking it a step further says the suspect Raymond Durham hasn't said a single word to them about anything.

Raymond Durham, who has been residing in abandoned homes, is not the type to hurt people, his brother said. He would ride his bike or walk or fix bikes, doing whatever anybody else out there is doing. ... My brother (is not a) police killer or no police stalker or anything like that.

Two police officers shot on Detroit's west side, sparking massive manhunt
The 59-year-old suspect, identified as Raymond Durham, apparently shot one officer in the ankle and the other in the neck while they were conducting a drug investigation near Tillman and Ash Sts. around 8:30 p.m., according to the Detroit Free Press.
