Abstract:
A tin catalyst constituting an organotin compound modified with an amine is used to catalyze the hydrolysis of latent amine curing agents in amine-curable polymeric compositions. The tin catalyst is formed from the reaction product of a stannous alkanoate and an amine, optionally in the form of an adduct with water. A preferred catalyst is the reaction product of stannous octoate and ethylenediamine.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a solid curable composition formed by adding finely divided urea in amounts ranging from 10 to 70 weight percent of the composition to liquid polyene/polythiol curable systems wherein the combined polyene and polythiol contain at least 20 percent by weight of oxyethylene units. The thus formed solid compositions are readily cured by radiation, e. g. , high energy ionizing radiation or U. V. radiation in the presence of a photocuring rate accelerator.

Abstract:
Novel fire-retardant and hydrolysis resistant, liquid, photosensitive compositions are disclosed comprising (1) the reaction product of (a) an aliphatic unsaturation containing chlorendate, and (b) a non-ester containing polythiol, said (a) and (b) being reacted non-stoichiometrically; (2) a member of the group consisting of either (a) or (b) in an amount up to that sufficient to react with the excess of the other in (1) and a liquid acrylate monomer or oligomer, and (3) at least one photoinitiator. Acrylates or methacrylate monomers are optionally added to the composition.
The invention is directed to alkali-resistant, radiation curable compositions comprising A. a polyene And B. a polythiol of the formula ##STR1## WHERE R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon moiety containing 2-6 carbon atoms, R. sub. 2 is an alkylene group containing 2-6 carbon atoms, R. sub. 1 is hydrogen or --OH, n is 2-6, and m is 1-2. A photosensitizer is added to the composition when curing is by U. V. radiation. The cured composition is operable as an additive plating resist in the manufacture of electronic circuitry.

Abstract:
An adhesive composition for adhering two substrates includes a mixture of acrylate and epoxy with a tri- or tetrafunctional ketimine as a curing agent. The adhesive composition provides a two-stage cure in which, in a first stage, the adhesive is moisture cured at ambient temperature to provide green strength. In a second stage, the adhesive is post-cured at elevated temperatures to provide a high strength bond. The ketimine is formed form the reaction of diisopropyl ketone and an amine.
