Abstract:

A pick proof money box featuring an inverted lock held proximate to the top surface of the coin operated device which is serviced by the money box. In conjunction therewith a structured characterized key is used for opening the money box. An additional feature is the integral flanges used for holding interlocking wings that are operated to lock and unlock the money box.

Abstract:

A coupling mechanism is disclosed for coaxially connecting a pair of connectable components, such as a pair of transducer assemblies each having a stator. A coupling ring is carried by one stator and engageable with the other for drawing the stators together axially in response to relative rotation of the coupling ring. First friction mechanism between the stators prevent relative rotation between the stators after the stators are aligned angularly to align the electrical zeros thereof. Second friction mechanism of lesser coefficient of friction between the coupling ring and the one stator permit relative rotation therebetween whereby the stators can be finally coupled by further rotation of the coupling member while the first friction means maintains the stators in zero electrical alignment. Subsequently, locking washers are fastened between the coupling ring and stators to permanently lock the stators in relative aligned position.

Abstract:

Methods and systems are provided for wireless train communications for supporting control of train operation. A system for controlling train operations may include a control system and a train-based communication unit for deployment on the train. The train-based communication unit may be configured for communicating wireless signals. The train-based communication unit may communicate with one or more wayside communication units when it moves within communication range of the wayside communication units, and the train-based communication unit may communicate operational information to the control system derived from communications between the train-based and the wayside communication units. The control system may be a communication-based train control (CBTC) system. The train-based communication unit and at least one wayside communication unit may be configured for utilizing ultra-wideband (UWB) based communications. The operational information may include at least one of: range, wayside communication unit identifier (ID), and track location.
