Abstract:

A magnetic excavation marker is described below that includes a magnet and a stiff, resilient and brightly colored visual indicator. The marker is used by placing the marker onto an object to be protected, such as a manhole cover or valve. The magnet attaches the marker to the protected object with magnetic force. The marker will then protect the object by providing a highly visible indication of the presence of the object, even if the object is buried. The stiff and resilient qualities of the visual indicator ensure that it will remain upright and visible, even after it has been stepped on or run over. A handle is attached to the magnet or to a housing holding the magnet. The handle gives a user added leverage to aid in overcoming the force of the magnet when the user desires to remove the maker from the protected object.

Abstract:

The present invention is an improved vaccine against Brucella abortus which permits differentiation between vaccinated and field strain infected cattle. The vaccine can be administered in two different forms: (1) cell envelopes isolated from an O polysaccharide antigen deficient, stable transposon mutant of B. abortus or (2) an O polysaccharide antigen deficient, stable transposon mutant of B. abortus.

Abstract:

Computer-readable storage media, apparatus and method associated with storing a copy of local data in a historical data store, among other embodiments, are disclosed herein. In embodiments, one or more computer-readable storage media may contain instructions which when executed by a computing device may provide access of local data to one or more applications on the computing device for contemporaneous processing by the one or more applications. The local data may be associated, at least in part, with one or more sensors of the computing device. In some embodiments, a copy of the local data may be transmitted to a remote historical data store where it may be categorized and correlated with data from computing devices associated with one or more other users for further processing.
