Abstract:

A cap for a container is provided. The cap comprises a cap body having a bottom wall, a first dispensing aperture extending through the bottom wall, a second vent aperture extending through the bottom wall, and a seal positioned on the cap body and extending in the first and second apertures. A closure member is pivotally connected to the cap body and pivots between a first closed position and a second open position. The closure member has a stopper and a protuberance. In the first position the stopper engages the first seal in the dispensing aperture to close the dispensing aperture, and the protuberance engages the second seal about the second aperture to close the vent aperture.

Abstract:

A lid assembly for a beverage container is provided. The lid assembly has a lid base, a mouthpiece and a lid dome. The mouthpiece is connected to the lid base and has a first end having a generally flat surface that is provided at an angle to the top surface of the lid base, a second end adapted to receive a straw, and a drink aperture therethrough. The lid dome is pivotally connected to the lid base and pivots between an open position and a closed position. The lid dome has a protrusion that extends from an inner surface of the lid dome. The protrusion has a seal surface at an angle to the top wall to seal against the first end of the mouthpiece to close the drink aperture when the lid dome is in the closed position.

The lid cover has a first latch member, the lid base has a first mating member, and the twist ring has a second latch member that mates with the first latch member and a second mating member that mates with the first mating member to allow the twist ring to rotate with respect to the lid base to disengage the second latch member from the first latch member.

A lid for a beverage container includes a lid housing with a drink opening, a slider member, and a seal assembly. The seal assembly has a seal arm, a seal and a spring. The slider member slides linearly about the lid housing. A cam pivotally connected to the slider member engages the seal arm. The slider member and cam operate to move the seal arm from an open position to a sealed position. The drink opening is open when the seal arm is in the open position, and the drink opening is closed by the seal when the seal arm is in the closed position.

Abstract:

A food container system includes a container, a lid and an elastic sleeve. The container has a cavity defined by sidewalls and a bottom. The container also has a shoulder with an undercut around a perimeter of the container. The lid has a central portion, an exterior border, and a plurality of receivers having openings and a tab. Each of the tabs have first and second pivot members that are pivotally retained in the openings in the receivers to allow the tabs to be pivoted between an open position and a locked position. The tabs have a flange with a protrusion that engages the undercut to secure the lid to the container in the locked position. The elastic sleeve is secured around the container to protect the container.
