Abstract:

A device for allowing a crossbow to be released from a drawn position without damaging the crossbow. The device may comprise an elongated member having a substantially cylindrical shape that can be positioned on the upper surface of the barrel of a crossbow. The device may comprise a notched end shaped to receive the bowstring of the crossbow and allows the device to be projected by the bowstring upon actuation of the crossbow's trigger lever.

Abstract:

A rotary indexing table for use with a milling machine which has a reduced height and includes a base plate, a top plate, bearing means for mounting the top plate for rotation, means for clamping the top plate to prevent its rotation, a rotary union for transmitting hydraulic pressure to the top of the top plate to accommodate fixtures mounted on the top plate, an air chamber under the top plate so that the top plate rotates freely when air pressure is held in the chamber and indexing means to locate preselected positions of the top plate.

Abstract:

An improved boring tool with a hollow boring bar and has an exterior semicircular surface and an opposite eliptical surface over a substantial portion of its length and has a circular slotted end portion, the diameter of which is sufficiently small to pass through the neck opening in the workpiece whose interior is to be machined, a piston having its rod extending through the boring bar and connecting to a linkage which also connects to a tool holder which is pivotally mounted to the enlarged slotted end of the boring bar so that the tool holder may be pivoted to position the tool secured to the tool holder for the boring of the arcuate interior surface immediately inside the neck of the workpiece responsive to axial and radial movement of the boring bar in the opening of the neck.
