Abstract:

The method disclosed allows a user, such as a trader, to create a visual diagram of his/her trading strategy on a computer screen without actually writing any program code. The trading strategy can be created via a simple diagram. The instructions, the lines of code required to execute the process, can be created via a “wizard” or “strategy builder” so as to shield the user from entering many lines of instructions for the program code. The software program can be created by a user with little or no knowledge of programming where the program created performs a function without requiring the user to write the lines of code. Thus, a trader can create a program that he/she can use to create a trading strategy via a user editable diagram.

Abstract:

This invention outlines a method to extend computer-based evolutionary learning algorithms by supplementing with human reasoning rather than pure computational logic. Evolutionary algorithms such as genetic algorithms and neural networks are global search heuristics. These algorithms use techniques inspired by evolutionary biology such as inheritance, mutation, selection, crossover, neuronal pruning and adaption for identifying exact or approximate solutions to optimization and search problems. This invention discloses a method of allowing humans, who are experts in the domains of certain problems, to interact with and propose theories that are used as constraints to evolutionary algorithms and to provide feedback that may allow evolutionary algorithms to escape local minima during the evolutionary computing process.

Abstract:

A precision molded article, such as a die cavity, is made by combining granules of a refractory and granules of a first metal or alloy which has a homogeneous crystalline appearance at a temperature below its melting point and has a lower Rockwell Hardness than the refractory, mixing the granules with a heat fugitive organic binder, molding the granule-binder mixture into a green molded preform, thermally degrading and removing essentially all the binder to form a skeletal preform, and infiltrating the preform with a second metal or alloy which will wet the first metal or alloy and has a lower Rockwell Hardness than the first metal or alloy, thereby forming a molded article having refractory granules fully enveloped within a single skeleton of the first metal or alloy, the refractory granules and skeleton of first metal being surrounded by layers or matrices of softer metals.

Abstract:

A method and system for computing a trust score for a digital exchange is disclosed. A first counter value associated with a digital exchange is requested from a counter data store. The first counter is calculated using a first algorithm based on a set of transactions monitored in real-time at the digital exchange. Historical transaction data is accessed from the digital exchange. The historical transaction data corresponds to the set of transactions used to calculate the first counter value. A second counter value is determined using the first algorithm based on the historical transaction data. A trust score associated with the digital exchange is determined based on a comparison of the first counter value and the second counter value.
