Abstract:
An automated technique implemented in a computer system for selecting one or more resources on which a principal is authorized to perform at least one action comprises the following steps/operations. First, one or more authorization policies that apply to a given principal are selected. Then, the one or more authorization policies are transformed based on meta-information associated with the one or more resources so as to form a query against a resource store that selects the one or more resources on which the one or more authorization policies allow the given principal to perform the at least one action. The query may then be executed to select the one or more resources from the resource store. In another automated technique, the query may be formed without use of the one or more authorization policies, but where the policies are used to remove unauthorized resources from the superset of resources returned as a result of query execution. The techniques may return no resources on which the user is allowed to perform an action, if, for example, no such resources are stored in the resource store.

Abstract:
Standardized support for management of contextual relationships, which includes specification of the context hierarchy, association of relationships with a particular context, and derivation of transitive dependencies, is provided with a Context Manager service. The Context Manager provides a programmatic interface for defining contexts and the relationships therein. The Context Manager saves the relationship facts in one or more context stores, which are organized by contexts. The Context Manager interfaces with the Ontology Manager that processes queries on relationships with respect to a given set of contexts. The Context Manager provides a high-level abstraction for relationship management in a context. Developers of business solutions can then focus on the core business logic, without worrying about the details of storing and inferencing relationships.

Abstract:
A mechanism to enable context-sensitive attributes which comprise an attribute value and a context value defining the applicability of the attribute value in a computer application. The mechanism is adapted to manipulate the context-sensitive attributes, for example to facilitate creation of attribute values with associated context values, retrieve attribute values associated with a specific context value and search based on attribute values within a context value.

Abstract:
An ontology directory service tool, computer program product and method of automatically discovering ontology file categories. A web search unit searches a network (e. g. , the Internet) for semantic data files, e. g. , semantic web pages. A preprocessing unit generates an ontology file from the content of each identified semantic data file. A category discovery unit identifies a domain for each ontology file and provides training sets for training ontology file classification. A classification unit trained using the training sets, classifies ontology file instances into inherent ontology categories.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for enhancing collaboration using a corporate social network to infer contacts. A method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: providing a social network for an organization, the social network including a plurality of nodes and links, wherein each node represents a member of the organization, and wherein each link represents a relationship between a pair of the nodes; receiving a request by a requesting member of the organization for a required type of contact; and inferring a contact to the requesting member by searching the social network along a plurality of dimensions from the node representing the requesting member.
Mobile Authorization Using Policy Based Access Control
An authorization engine is provided in a remote device for mobile authorization using policy based access control. To ensure that remote devices can enforce consistent authorization policies even when the devices are not connected to the server, the remote device downloads the relevant authorization policies when the business objects are downloaded and enforces the policies when operations are invoked. The memory footprint of downloadable authorization policies is reduced to fit onto a resource-constrained remote device. A policy evaluation engine interprets and enforces the downloaded policies on the remote device using only the limited computational resources of the remote device.

Abstract:
An Enterprise Management Portfolio Hub allows a user to perform enterprise portfolio management activities from a single point of control. EPMH relates information, analysis, display and control based on the organizing concept of the business components that comprise the CBM map of the enterprise by collecting portfolio information from existing portfolio management tools and generating a portfolio model. It allows the user to interact with or access information from various Portfolio Management applications and services through the portfolio model. EPMH supports evaluative techniques that can be used to identify areas for business transformation and to generate transition plans.

Abstract:
Methods, systems and computer program products for process driven feedback of digital asset reuse. Exemplary embodiments include a method for process-driven feedback for a digital asset, the method including identifying the asset downloaded in a computer system from a repository operatively coupled to the computer system, and for a current project within the computer system for the current project, determining whether the asset has been consumed within the current project, determining feedback and changes between the asset prior to the current project and after the current project, consolidating the feedback and the changes associated with the asset and automatically generating feedback for the asset repository so that the feedback and changes are associated with the asset for comparison in a future project similar to the current project.
