A multiple single-use bag mixing system utilizing lifting one end of the bag at a harmonic frequency determined by the viscosity of the fluids and bag dimensions. The bags are positioned on stationary racks with UV or white light source positioned over each bag were required. The degree of energy efficient gentile mixing is determine by a variable speed drive moving the ends of all the bags simultaneously on the racks.
Single-Use Biobags With Sendors: Do, Ph, Co2 And Temperature
A single-use biobag provided with at least two none invasive florescent-optical sensors. The sterile sensors inside the biobag secured by an adhesive backing or secured by a CLASS VI fitting assures the sterile environment of the fluids in the bags. The sensors detectors are located outside the bag and secured in a position to align the sensors with the detectors. Either Velcro on the detector and outside of the bag has been used for sensor/detector alignment or the detector is mounted on the containment vessel and biobag straps are used to assure position of the bag for sensor/detector alignment. The process variables to be measured by the fluorescent optical disposable sensors are: DO, pH, COand temperature. The biobag film is CLASS VI material and should be optically clear and free of interfering florescent compounds.
A (disposable) single-use closed mixing system consisting of a mixing impeller(s) on a shaft, the shaft being sealed to the top of the bag. The flexible bag is used as the reciprocating membrane. Bag sizes 1 to 10,000 liters, can be gamma sterilized or non-sterile. The bags can be round or square in shape. All components including the impeller, shaft and accessories are CLASS VI material. The impeller or impellers used for large bags can be round, or square with holes, flutes, fins, tubing or a combination of these to meet specific mixing requirements. A detachable electric or air powered actuator provides the reciprocating action. The impeller shaft is sealed to the bag eliminating the need for rotary seals. Disposal of the mixing system is environmentally friendly.

Abstract:
Repetitive defect signals are produced, for example, by bar or rod inspection equipment whenever any one of plural roll sets in a rolling mill develops a roll crack. Defect signal repetitive rate differs for each roll's relative speed. Selective correlator electronics process the defect signals with plural repetitive rates and produce an output signal indicative of which roll set in the mill has a cracked roll.

Abstract:
Coke guide and coke oven infrared pyrometer degrading is minimized to continuously permit better accuracy and reliability in hostile environment of coke mass and heat, dust and/or dirt present in many coke plant areas. These benefits are obtained using production-worthy pyrometer equipment having a purged pyrometer with any of three window cleanliness monitors to determine errors and automatically correcting for same through self-calibration.

Abstract:
Production-worthy method and system comprising two computer-based subsystems for determining temperature of an irradiant mass movable through process means in a hostile environment exemplified as coke guide and coke oven in a battery of ovens. System is usable in other industries such as at cement kilns and the like. First subsystem which is carried by a movable coke guide/door machine, includes one or more coke guide pyrometers arranged vertically, each with a sighting window monitor to detect optical errors, an onboard computerized and cooled electronics package for acquiring and processing temperature data and automatically detecting same for pyrometer drift and optical errors, and automatically correcting for these errors, and further including a plug-in portable terminal with a printer. The second subsystem stationed in a central office having a base computer package with various computation and storage capabilities including a CRT control terminal for operator interaction with the entire system, a line printer and a printer/plotter. Two-way data communication between the two subsystems is exemplified by a two-way radio link.

Abstract:
An optical probe mounting device for the insertion end of a fluorescence measuring optical probe which facilitates mounting on a biological reactor vessel window fitting. The device consists of a rigid hollow cylinder sized to closely receive the probe and to closely slide within the interior of the fitting. A quartz window seals the insertion end of the cylinder to allow passage of ultraviolet light without attenuation. A flange is sealingly affixed to the cylinder which permits the cylinder to extend a predetermined distance into the vessel. An O-ring extends around the cylinder or a face seal is used on the rear flange of the well, thereby providing a seal upon insertion of the device into the fitting.
