Abstract:

An interference resistant infrared receiver and extension system is disclosed. A receiver in accordance with the present invention comprises at least one infrared photodetector configured to detect impinging infrared light of a desired wavelength, an amplifier, coupled to the at least one infrared photodetector, for amplifying an electrical signal generated by the at least one infrared photodetector, and a bandpass filter, coupled to the at least one infrared photodetector, wherein the desired impinging infrared light passes through the bandpass filter before impinging on the at least one infrared photodetector, wherein the bandpass filter is configured to pass desired impinging infrared light and block undesired impinging wavelengths of light.

Abstract:

A combination dispenser and waste receptacle is provided having a dispenser including a storage cavity with a waste receptacle coupled to the dispenser. A passage extends through the dispenser and is in communication with the passage so that waste may be inserted into the waste receptacle through the passage without removing the dispenser from the waste receptacle. The dispenser may be formed of an outer shell and a bottom wall removably attached to the outer shell. Tissue or similar material may be stored in the storage cavity, and used tissue and other waste material may be disposed into the waste receptacle through the passage.

Abstract:

A waffle maker set for making filled waffles includes a waffler, a tunnel forming device and a filling injector. The waffler has heated top and bottom grills each having a plurality of protruding blocks on its inside. The tunnel forming device has blades with a shape corresponding to the arrangement of the blocks in the grills. With the waffler open, a waffle mix is added on the grills and allowed to pre-bake. The tunnel forming device is pressed into the mix in the space between the blocks to form grooves in the mix. When the waffler is closed, the grooves form tunnels inside the mix. A nose of the filling injector is inserted through one or more holes on the top grill of the waffler to reach into the tunnels, and a filling material (e.g. jelly) is injected into the tunnels to form filled waffles.

Abstract:

A toy vehicle incorporating a sound effect generator similar to an acoustical phonograph having a machined turntable with mutually exclusive sound tracks, each of the sound tracks creating a different sound effect through a tone arm and speaker cone arrangement. The turntable is driven by a gear train from the wheels of the vehicle. Selection of the various sound effects is made by movement of the vehicle in response to the normal forces of the play pattern on the vehicle causing the tone arm to engage different ones of the sound tracks.

Abstract:

A spotlight assembly conformed for electrical excitation through the cigarette lighter of an automobile comprises a hollow housing formed by mating a front and a rear housing halves, each half including an upper portion for receiving a bulb and a lower portion forming a handle. The bulb, preferably of the sealed beam type, is retained against outward progression by an inwardly directed lip in the upper front portion and is pressed against this lip by an annular ring in the rear upper portion, the ring being guided by axially aligned posts for compression against the bulb by helical springs on each post.

Abstract:

An animated toy doll which simulates a baby falling asleep is provided. Initially, the doll sits upright. A mechanical internal mechanism is provided for tilting or nodding the head forward, and then tilting the entire torso rearward to a final reclined sleeping position. The motions of the doll are triggered by squeezing one of the feet of the doll. Motion of the internal mechanism is dampened by a thick silicone gel to ensure slow and smooth movement of the mechanism to achieve a realistic, graceful animation of the doll. No electrical device or motor is required.

Abstract:

A portable light assembly conformed for excitation from the cigarette lighter outlet of an automobile comprises two light housings each universally pivoted from a central handle assembly. The central assembly includes opposed pivot fittings from which two laterally disposed swivel blocks are pivoted, each swivel block in turn pivotally supporting a corresponding light. In this form the alignment of each light may be individually selected to produce any desired beam pattern, the same pivotal freedom providing for a collapsed alignment where the lens portions of each light are protected from damage.

Abstract:

An ergonomic hand-attachable controller for providing command signals to control movement of at least one object responsive to hand movement. The ergonomic hand-attachable controller includes a base with a top surface configured to support a palm of a user's hand. A plurality of planar finger members may be provided which incorporate at least one finger pad which is operable to control movement of a remote object. At attachment member is provided to secure a hand of a user with the top surface of the controller. Electronics within the ergonomic hand-attachable controller convert movement of a user's hand and fingers to command signals for controlling the movement of a remote object.
