Abstract:

A telephone is provided for delivering content to a client that is coupled to a communications network. The telephone includes a processor and a network interface operable to couple the telephone to the communications network. The telephone also includes a handset operable to provide oral communication by a user of the telephone using the network interface. Furthermore, the telephone includes a memory that is coupled to the processor and operable to store content for delivery to the client using the network interface. The content that is stored is associated with the operation of the telephone. In a particular embodiment, the client to which the content is delivered is a Web browser, and the content is at least one HyperText Markup Language document to be displayed in the Web browser.

Abstract:

Various aspects of an interactive multimedia system and associated methods. In general, the multimedia system employs central and peripheral hubs that function to provide services to a plurality of clients of a call manager server, or manager subsystem. The hubs and subsystem cooperate to serve requests originating in the plurality of clients. The client-server-client architecture allows for distributed processing and resource management. Redundant connections between the various network subsystems and hubs provide survivability. Each subsystem or hub is provided with the ability to initialize or recover from systemic errors, thereby distributing initialization and recovery. Certain of the distributed resources are capable of being managed from other subsystems, thereby allowing sharing of the resources. An open numbering plan allows efficient call treatment of dialed numbers. Call processing is sharable between multiple manager subsystems.

A method is provided for establishing a telephone call between a trusted Internet Protocol (IP) telephone and an untrusted device. The method includes receiving a call initiation request from the untrusted device that indicates a desired communication with the trusted IP telephone. Abstract:

A funnel assembly is provided for transferring material between two containers. The funnel assembly includes a funnel forming a reservoir and a spout of substantially circular cross-section that tapers along a longitudinal axis between an inlet end joined to the funnel and a distal outlet end. The spout includes an inside surface. The funnel assembly also includes a substantially spherical occluding element disposed in the spout. The occluding element has a periphery larger than the outlet end of the spout and smaller than the inlet end. The occluding element includes a resiliently flexible sealing member extending circumferentially therearound for selectively engaging and conforming to the inside surface of the spout at any of a plurality of angular displacements of the occluding element to establish an impervious seal within the spout between the inlet and outlet ends as a result of gravity and material weight acting upon the occluding element.

A two-piece valve cover for use on an engine having an engine cylinder head and a plurality of valve rocker arms. The two-piece valve cover includes a base housing for sealing with the cylinder head and a top cover. The top cover includes a sealing flange adapted to receive a sealing gasket member.
