Abstract:

A microprocessor-operated flow control device for a toilet to prevent flooding upon obstructing of a waste outlet of a toilet bowl also includes a leak detector for measuring any water leakage from a toilet tank. The device includes a water level sensor assembly mounted on a clip held over a rim of the toilet bowl so as to hold the water level sensor assembly in a predetermined position within the toilet bowl, and a leak detecting element held in the interior of the toilet tank. If water bridges contacts on the water level sensor assembly, an electrical circuit or an RF connection is completed to the microprocessor in a housing, and an electric motor is actuated to drive a gear train to close a normally opened valve and shut off water to the water tank of the toilet. If a water leak is detected, an electrical or an RF signal is sent to the microprocessor to shut off water flow to the water tank. The present invention is an easily-added-on, simplified device for use with a toilet to prevent flooding and wasting water through leakage.

A toilet water measuring and flow control system, including leak and overflow detection and prevention elements. The system has inlet and outlet flow sensors operably connected to inlet and outlet control valves and to water level sensors to measure and control water flow to and from the toilet. Abstract:

Water leak detecting or overflow devices for a toilet may be inserted into or formed integrally with the toilet. The devices include at least one water leak sensor assembly mounted in a position in a toilet tank so as to detect the rise and fall of the water level in the toilet tank and an overflow detector in a toilet bowl. If the water level rises and falls a predetermined number of times, or if water continues to flow to the toilet longer than a measured increment of time, a microprocessor operates a normally-open valve and shuts off flow of water to the toilet tank. The devices also include a second sensor, whereby if a flapper remains open or water reaches a level where it might overflow the bowl or tank and stays there for a predetermined period of time, the microprocessor will also shut off flow to the toilet.

Abstract:

A two-piece toilet aquarium assembly is disclosed. The assembly is adapted to replace a conventional toilet water tank in an existing two-piece toilet assembly and comprises a separate aquarium tank and a toilet water tank adapted to be mounted on a toilet bowl. The toilet water tank provides water for flushing of the toilet bowl and includes a push-button that is operably connected to a toilet flapper flush mechanism. The aquarium tank is removably coupled to the toilet water tank and defines an interior space for holding a water reservoir where aquatic creatures, ornamental objects, a terrarium and the like can be enclosed.
