He doesn't want to cause any more harm to any more organizations, U.S. Masters Swimming executive director Rob Butcher told Associated Press. His interest was around fitness and training. In light of FINA and the other political stuff, he will not be swimming.

Lance Armstrong return to competitive sport blocked by authorities
The executive director of US Masters Swimming, Rob Butcher, said Armstrong has decided not to try to swim in the Masters South Central Zone Swimming Championships at the University of Texas after swimming's international governing body raised objections.
"Our mission, dating back to the 60s, is we encourage adults to swim," Rob Butcher, executive director of Masters Swimming told the Associated Press. "Lance is a member of USMS so he is eligible to swim."
