    A system includes one or more devices that include a memory to store instructions and one or more processors to execute the instructions. The devices include an updated network function (NF) service producer that includes a recent update, wherein the NF service producer is configured to register at a Network Repository Function (NRF) using a Network Function profile (NF profile), wherein the NF profile indicates a Network Function type (NF type) and Application Programming Interface versions. The devices further include a network function (NF) service consumer configured to: receive a message from a network component; determine to engage a service of a NF service producer of the NF type based on the message; and send a discovery request to the NRF in response to the message, wherein the message includes search criteria that specify a version field extended with an operator dependent version field.

    A roaming platform is disclosed herein. The roaming platform may receive, via a first communication protocol, an authentication request associated with a user equipment (UE), wherein the UE is subscribed to communicate via a first radio access technology of a home network, and wherein the authentication request is associated with enabling the UE to communicate via a visitor network that utilizes a second radio access technology. The roaming platform may identify an identifier associated with the UE in the authentication request. The roaming platform may determine, based on the identifier, a serving component of the home network that is configured to serve the UE. The roaming platform may obtain, from the serving component, authentication information associated with the UE, wherein the authentication information is obtained via a second communication protocol. The roaming platform may provide, based on the authentication information, an authentication response to the authentication request.

The logic may be further configured to request a list of supported features from the responding wireless access network device, when the information identifying the supported features for the responding wireless access network device has not been obtained by the computer device; receive, from the responding wireless access network device, a response that includes the list of the supported features and that further includes supported features scope information; store the supported features scope information; and use the supported features scope information when forwarding requests to the responding wireless access network device or the plurality of devices.
