An aquatic exercise device for a user immersed in water comprising a restraining member having a top surface and a bottom surface with the restraining member defining a front portion, an intermediate portion and a rear portion. A flotation means is affixed to the restraining member. The restraining member is secured to each foot of a user to enable the user immersed in water to exercise in the water with the restraining member to inhibiting the foot movement of the user and with the flotation means to partially supporting the user in the water.
An apparatus and method is disclosed for an improved aquatic exercise device for a user immersed in water, comprising a restraining member having a top surface and a bottom surface with the restraining member defining a front portion, an intermediate portion and a rear portion. A float comprises the restraining member having an outer skin with an internal surface defining the internal volume for receiving a gas for providing increasing the buoyancy of the aquatic exercise device. The internal volume may receive a ballast for reducing the buoyancy of the aquatic exercise device. The restraining member is secured to a foot of a user to enable the restraining member to restrain the foot movement of the user and with the flotation means to partially supporting the user in the water.
Aquatic Exercise Device With Rigid Fluid Resistance Member
An aquatic exercise device for use in a swimming pool or the like comprising a substantially rectangular, flat rigid fluid resistance member having an adjustable substantially U-shaped hand gripping member disposed in fixed spaced relation relative to the surface of the substantially rectangular flat rigid fluid resistance member by a pair of substantially parallel interconnecting members and a wrist guide including a flat rigid stability member extending in a coplanar relation relative to the substantially rectangular flat rigid fluid resistance member to engage the user's wrist and a substantially J-shaped axial alignment member extending from one longitudinal edge of flat rigid stability member to receive the user's wrist such that the user grasps the adjustable substantially U-shaped hand gripping member while placing his wrist within the substantially J-shaped axial alignment member whereby the user moves the aquatic exercise device through the water to create a significant resistance on the substantially rectangular flat rigid fluid resistance member to exercise the user.
An apparatus is disclosed for an improved aquatic exercise device for a user immersed in water comprising a restraining member having a top surface and a bottom surface with the restraining member defining a front portion, an intermediate portion and a rear portion. A flotation member is affixed to the restraining member. The restraining member is secured to each foot of a user to enable the user immersed in water to exercise in the water with the restraining member to inhibiting the foot movement of the user and with the flotation member to partially supporting the user in the water.

'Wedge' snow event to keep region in cold through Tues.
This is what we call a wedge event, Robert Beasley, meteorologist with the Blacksburg, Va., office of the National Weather Service said. The cold air is coming from the northwest (Sunday evening), and weve got another strong disturbance coming in right behind it.
Cars were having trouble on the slippery streets and highways all over the South, with numerous slideoffs, though there were no immediate reports of serious accidents. Off and on, the snow was mixing with sleet around Atlanta, said National Weather Service meteorologist Robert Beasley.
