An apparatus combination useful in carrying out work within hazardous environments, especially radioactive environments. The combination includes (a) a plurality of portable input modules, each portable input module being capable of receiving video, audio and radiation dosimetry communications data and transmitting that data via a single portable input module data transmission cable, (b) a relay module for receiving the communications data from the plurality of portable input modules via each of the single portable input modules data transmission cables and for transmitting that data via a single relay module data transmission cable, and (c) a communications output station for receiving the communications data from the relay module via the single relay module data transmission cable and for translating that data into user recognizable video, audio and radiation dosimeter data output forms. Use of the invention has been found to markedly reduce the costs associated with set-up, testing, operation and disassembly of data and communications receiving equipment necessary within hazardous work areas. Moreover, use of the invention has been found to markedly increase the ability of the work coordinator to conduct work within a hazardous area in a safe and efficient manner.

Abstract:
A fastener includes a pin and a collar for engaging the pin. The pin includes a pin head for engaging one exposed surface of the workpieces and a pin shank for positioning through a bore in the workpieces. The pin shank includes a second working second working edge, a second locking groove, a first working edge, a first locking groove, a breakneck groove and a pin tail having a plurality of pulling grooves. The collar includes an enlarged head and a through bore. The collar is placed over the pin shank and an installation tool is used to grip the pulling grooves. The installation tool forces the presses the collar onto the pin. As this happens, the first working edge engages the through bore of the collar and moves material from the through bore into the first locking groove to create a lock between the collar and the pin. Continued movement of the collar with respect to the pin engages the second working edge with the through bore of the collar and moves material from the through bore into the second locking groove to create an additional lock between the collar and the pin.
The sliding-shoe sole is a device that is permanently attached or removably positioned on fitness shoes or the like. The sliding-shoe sole is fabricated from materials that reduce the degree of factional contact between the sole and a contacting surface. The sliding-shoe sole may encompass a portion or the entire bottom of the fitness shoe and portions of the heel, toe and side areas of the shoe. This arrangement enables the wearer to participate more fully in exercises and/or dances that require the foot to not only slide and/or glide along the dance floor or exercise surface along the shoe bottom, but also along the shoe heel, toe and side.
