Abstract:

Vehicle monitoring arrangement tracks and records vehicle operation for post vehicle use supervision. In one specific embodiment, a record of vehicle-operation data contains periodic recordings of speed and direction of a vehicle while it was being driven, as such data is provided by a conventional electronic compass and the vehicles electronic speed indicating signal. A processor performs calculations using speed and directional data to calculate acceleration and rate of directional change. Vehicle operation data from the recording devices and the calculations performed is compared to stored reference data to determine if the vehicle was abused or driven in an unsafe manner by the operator. The data is output to a display showing vehicle operating data and instances where the vehicle was abused or driven in an unsafe manner.

Aspects of the disclosure involve a pill-filtering article that is located and secured inside a pill container. Using one system, an assembly of articles distributes one pill at a time in the form of a single-pill dispensing apparatus that includes a pill-storage container and such a pill-filtering article. A particular application of the invention is directed to on-line apparel shopping involving a color matching scheme using color codes provided with images to be merged. For example, on-line viewing of one article, such as clothing, on another structure, includes creating an item from image-data corresponding to a colored article selected by an on-line viewer from an on-line viewer site with an image of a colored structure selected by the on-line viewer, and indicating whether the colored article and the colored structure satisfy a color-matching criterion.
