Abstract:

A first heat sink is built including two sets of fins with a gap between the two fin sets. The gap is configured to allow the placement of a second heat sink between the two fin sets of the first heat sink. The first heat sink also includes slotted mounting lugs to allow the second heat sink to be mounted to the first heat sink allowing for varying stack up tolerances of the heat generating devices cooled by the first and second heat sinks.

Abstract:

Embodiments include apparatus, methods, and systems providing a heatsink for electronic heat generating components. In one embodiment, the heatsink includes a metal base having a plurality of grooves, and a plurality of graphite fins connected to the base. The fins thermally dissipate heat from the base and into a surrounding environment. The fins are secured within the grooves with an interference fit produced by thermally expanding the base.

Abstract:

An electronic system includes a component that heats up during operation and an acoustic dampening air moving assembly. The acoustic dampening air moving assembly includes air moving blades, a motor, a support structure and a housing. The motor is attached to the air moving blades to rotate the air moving blades. The support structure supports the motor and the air moving blades within the housing. The housing and the support structure at least partially include a material selected for its acoustic dampening characteristics. The acoustic dampening air moving assembly moves air to the component to cool the component. The selected material dampens acoustic vibrations within the electronic system.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for in-field camera calibration in a stereovision system may include using a plurality of cameras to capture an image pair, the image pair comprising images of a scene; identifying infinite points on the images of the image pair using a calibration circuit; the calibration circuit determining a disparity amount between corresponding infinite points for each camera; and the calibration circuit determining an inverse operation to reduce the determined disparity amount between the corresponding infinite points. Systems and methods may also include a calibration circuit identifying corresponding points, in which the corresponding points include a point on a first image of an image pair corresponding to a point on a second image of the image pair; determining a translational disparity amount between the corresponding points for each camera; and determining an inverse operation to reduce the determined translational disparity amount between the corresponding infinite points.
