Abstract:

An anti-tip linkage mechanism for vertical file cabinets of the type having drawers and/or pivotal front panels includes molded polymeric cam follower housings that snap-fit onto each of the slide channels for the drawers or panels and non-circular connecting rods attached to cam actuators that enable interaction of the anti-tip mechanisms incorporated with each slide channel. Lock actuated auxiliary cam mechanisms and panel locking assemblies controllable by a single cabinet lock are connected with a cabinet lock by linkage bars or cables.

Abstract:

A high energy transport gas and a method to transport the high energy transport gas are used to increase the energy content of a pipeline and other vessels that are designed to carry natural gas under ambient conditions, in a compressed state or in a liquefied state. Methane and other gases are used as the feedstock, with methane from natural gas fields, coal beds or derived from hydrogen reacting with coal being primary energy sources. Also, this gas and method can provide an abundant source for hydrogen production, and the energy from hydrogen can be used for fuel cell applications that generate electricity and power motor vehicles. This gas and method are capable of increasing the energy capacity of current natural gas pipelines and other storage and transport vessels.

Abstract:

Methods are disclosed for processing organic plant matter into dry powder, oil and juice products for use alone or in combination with other constituents as a food additive, nutriment, dietary supplement, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or a component of a cosmetic product having a high concentration of polyphenolic compounds, including the naturally occurring antioxidant resveratrol. In a particular embodiment, Muscadine grapes and rice hulls are mixed together in a predetermined ratio and subsequently pressed to extract the bulk of the grape juice from the Muscadine grapes, resulting in a residue consisting essentially of Muscadine grape marc and rice hulls. An active enzyme may be introduced into the mixture to soften the grape skins and thereby facilitate break down of the mixture into the residue. The residue is then pressed again, dried at low heat and high air flow, and the grape seeds separated from the remaining residue. The remaining residue is then ground, fragmented or powdered to produce the dry powder product. The separated grape seeds may be further processed to extract grape seed oil and produce a sludge consisting primarily of crushed grape seeds, which can be further processed by powdering to form a grape seed powder having a high concentration of polyphenolic compounds, including resveratrol. The residue is stored at a temperature only slightly above 32 F. (0 C.) and less than about 60 F. (15 C.) to both preserve and promote the continued metabolic synthesis of polyphenolic compounds, including resveratrol.

Abstract:

Disclosed is a lock assembly such as for use with enclosures and access panels. The lock assembly includes a keyhole shaped aperture in a slide portion of the locking assembly that cooperates with double-D shaped protrusions associated with a locking plug. In a locked position, the double-D shaped protrusions inhibit movement of the slide portion. In an unlocked position, the double-D shaped elements may enter a more narrow portion of the keyhole shaped aperture and permit movement of the slide. The slide is associated with additional features so that movement of the slide selectively inhibits or provides consequential movement of other elements that in turn respectively deny or create access to an enclosure.
