An oligomeric composition containing oligomers and at least one stabilizing component is provided. An aqueous dispersion composition containing the oligomeric composition is useful for treating tanned leather to provide leather with increased softness or strength. Also provided are a method of treating tanned leather using the composition and an article containing the treated leather.

Abstract:
The present invention provides aqueous amphiphilic emulsion copolymer compositions comprising one or more aqueous phase copolymer, a residue of one or more hydrophilic chain transfer agent, and a residue of one or more hydrophobic chain transfer agent, as well as methods of making such copolymers in water or an aqueous liquid by copolymerizing a monomer component of from 20 to 80 wt. %, based on the weight of the monomer component, of a hydrophilic group-containing monomer and the remainder of a copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer or prepolymer in the presence of a mixed chain transfer agent component comprising a hydrophilic chain transfer agent, such as 3-mercaptopropionic acid, and a hydrophobic chain transfer agent, such as N-dodecyl mercaptan. The aqueous amphiphilic emulsion copolymers of the present invention are storage stable and exhibit excellent viscosity control even in high solids compositions, e.g. from 50 to 80 wt. % of the composition. The high solids compositions can be diluted at the point of use, thus reducing shipment costs.

Abstract:
A knitted surgical mesh formed from a yarn. The knitted mesh has from 18 to 24 courses per inch and from 5 12 to 16 wales per inch, a flexibility of from 400-950 mg-cm/cm, a burst strength greater than 175 pounds per square inch, and a pore size percentage greater than 37%.
A cabinet latch is flush mounted on a cabinet door panel by a flanged conical cup which is inserted into a precut hole in the door panel. A push-on retainer clip presses against the inner surface of the door panel and holds the outward flange of the conical cup against the outer surface of the door panel. The head of the latch pawl shaft is received within the cup. In thin door installations, where the thickness of the door is less than the depth of the conical cup, a second cup is mounted on the pawl shaft on the inside of the door panel and a push-on retainer clip presses against an inward flange of the inner cup to hold both cups against the door panel, the outward flange of the outer cup pressing against the outer surface of the door panel and the outer flange of the inner cup pressing against the inner surface of the door panel.

" 'Gotham' has the unenviable task of combining a cop procedural, a buddy-cop formula and a superhero origins story - three all-too-predictable genres," wrote Robert Dougherty, of Northeast Philadelphia. "It does better . . . when it embraces the more weird, comic-book elements just dying to get out
