BS, Computer ScienceFor my Senior Design project, I worked with a team of 3 other programmers to develop a 3D Defensive Driving Simulator that was capable of being run both as a standalone application and within a web browser as an applet. Some features included: 1. Auto-generation of 3D maps via XML. 2. Pluggable scripting engine that allowed you to specify AI rules for virtual drivers within the system using a simple code. 3. Real-time collision detection with both terrain elements and virtual drivers using a very efficient polygonal intersection testing algorithm that used Kinematics physics to predict object placement, 3D to 2D flattening, and optimization that nullifies the need to do a brute-force check against every active object in the system. 4. Trap editor interface that used a simple point and click interface and Bezier interpolation schemes.
