Abstract:

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is a method of detecting network elements in an optical communications network. The method includes an initiating network element generating a neighbor discovery message including a requested hierarchy level at which neighbor discovery is requested and transmitting the neighbor discovery message downstream along the optical communications network. A downstream network element receives the neighbor discovery message, determines if the downstream network element operates at the requested hierarchy level. The downstream network element generates a responding neighbor discovery message if the downstream network element operates at the requested hierarchy level and transmits the responding neighbor discovery message to the initiating network element. Alternate embodiments include a system and storage medium for implementing the method.

Abstract:

A protective cover is designed to be removably placed over the keyboard tray and mouse pad of a bracket system including an articulating bracket having a proximal end designed to be affixed to the undersurface of a desk top and a distal end to which the keyboard tray is mounted. The protective cover consists of a padded bag having an inner chamber sized to receive the keyboard tray and mouse pad, and a cover designed to close its access opening which consists of two flaps spaced by a recessed portion, with the recessed portion provided to allow the flaps to fold over to either side of the bracket. Each of the flaps has a releasable fastener designed to fasten the flaps in a closed configuration. Another releasable fastener is provided on the bracket and the bag so that the fastener halves can be releasably attached together to hold the bracket system in a folded configuration making it easy to transport.

Abstract:

A phosphor blend for an LED light source is provided wherein the phosphor blend comprises from about 7 to about 12 weight percent of a cerium-activated yttrium aluminum garnet phosphor, from about 3 to about 6 weight percent of a europium-activated strontium calcium silicon nitride phosphor, from about 15 to about 20 weight percent of a europium-activated calcium silicon nitride phosphor, and from about 55 to about 80 weight percent of a europium-activated calcium magnesium chlorosilicate phosphor. An LED light source in accordance with this invention has a B:G:R ratio for a 3200K tungsten balanced color film of X:Y:Z when directly exposed through a nominal photographic lens, wherein X, Y and Z each have a value from 0. 90 to 1. 10.

Abstract:

Disclosed are methods for treating obstructive and ischemic bladder diseases which include administering a compound which includes a cyclic or acyclic disulfide covalently bonded to a lipid-soluble antioxidant or which include administering a reduced sulfhydryl derivative thereof. Abstract:

A source of red light includes a double-bore capillary tube having a pair of ends and a convoluted shape. A pair of electrodes is located at one end of the capillary tube and disposed within respective bores. An ionizable medium is enclosed within the capillary tube and includes neon at a pressure from about 300 to 600 torr. When energized, the ionizable medium generates an arc discharge between the electrodes consisting primarily of radiation in the range of from 590 to 670 nanometers. An outer jacket of vitreous material may surround the capillary tube and contain an inert gas (e. g. , nitrogen) at a predetermined pressure.
