Abstract:A double lead interference screw useful for securing a soft tissue graft inside a bone tunnel of a bone mass is disclosed. The interference screw has continuous independent double threads having uniform pitch, helix angle, and crest height throughout the threaded portions of the screw; a bulbous head; a threaded proximal section with a cylindrical root, a threaded distal section with a tapered root, and a threaded tapered distal tip. Methods for soft tissue repair using the double lead interference screw are also disclosed.
