Abstract:

A system for applying a pipe joining agent, such as flux, primer or adhesive, to pipe structure surfaces. The system includes a male brush that cooperates with a female brush that is removably mounted on a container than contains the agent to be applied. The male brush can be inserted through the female brush and into the container to pick up the agent. As the male brush is withdrawn from the container, the female brush wipes excess agent from the male brush so that the female brush picks up agent thereon. The male brush can then be inserted into the end of a pipe structure to apply the agent to the interior surface of the pipe structure. Also, the female brush can be removed from the container and then inserted over the end of a pipe structure to apply the agent to the exterior surface of a pipe structure.

Abstract:

An acoustic system having a plurality of speakers applying acoustic energy as a series of acoustic waves to various target sites on the exterior of the reactor to vibrate and deflect the interior surfaces of the reactor structure such that the slag is dislodged from the internal surfaces of the reactor structure. Each speaker generates acoustic waves having a waveform corresponding to the resonant frequency of the ash crystallized on the reactor structures. The acoustic waves induce vibrations and/or deflections in the portion of the reactor wall to which the slag is engaged as well as the slag itself breaking the interstitial bonds of the slag deposit and bonding holding the slag to the wall. The separated or disintegrated slag can then be gravimetrically fall to the bottom of the reactor for removal from the reactor.

An animated map display transposes information from any of the basic or application maps of a computer-controlled agronomic system, as well as geological or environmental features, physical structures, sensor signals, status information, and other data, into a two- or three-dimensional representation that is projected using a heads-up display (HUD) overlaid onto the real-world terrain and environment visible to the operator through the windshield of the product application vehicle. Abstract:

A strobe light, oriented directly over a railroad track rail and at a 45. degree. angle to the horizontal, projects a light line across the rail. A pair of cameras oriented directly over the rail view the light image on the rail. The light lines reflected from the foot of the rail provide a reference for numerically describing the profile of the railhead. The measured rail profile is compared to an ideal rail profile. The results of the comparison are used to position grinding modules for grinding the rail to a preferred profile.

A table and attached bench support structure is foldable between an open erected position and a closed storable position. The table support mechanism comprises pivotally interconnected top brace, leg brace, bench leg, bench support member and table leg cooperating together to support both the table top and the bench seats. A method of patterning an unpatterned transparent conductive film, the unpatterned transparent conductive film comprising: a transparent substrate, a first conductive layer disposed on a first surface of the transparent substrate, and a second conductive layer disposed on a second surface of the transparent substrate, the first and second surfaces being disposed on two opposing sides of the unpatterned transparent conductive film, the first conductive layer comprising a first set of metal nanostructures, and the second conductive layer comprising a second set of metal nanostructures, the method comprising irradiating the first conductive layer with at least one first laser to form a patterned transparent conductive film, where the irradiation of the first conductive layer patterns the first conductive layer with a first pattern without also patterning the second conductive layer with the first pattern, and also where the unpatterned transparent conductive film and the patterned transparent conductive film both exhibit total visible light transmissions of at least about 90%.
